MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell confounded attorneys by repeatedly mispronouncing "defamation" at his trial.
The 2020 election denier took the stand during the second week of trial after being sued by former voting machine executive Eric Coomer.
At one point, Lindell confused the courtroom, "Next" on 9 News correspondent Kyle Clark reported.
"Lindell pronounces defamation as 'deflamation,' causing the Plaintiff's counsel to ask Lindell to confirm they are talking about the same thing," Clark wrote on X.
During Monday's hearing, Lindell was asked about his earlier statements, calling Coomer "treasonous" and "disgusting."
However, the pillow executive tried to distance himself from the remarks by claiming he was angry about being blackballed by right-wing outlet Newsmax.
"Minutes later from the stand, Lindell likens Coomer to 'the driver of the getaway car in the biggest heist in history," Clark reported. "If Lindell's attorneys were hopeful he wouldn't continue his attacks on Coomer from the stand, as Austin Powers said, that train has sailed."
