Conservative says Roy Moore should have won even if he did molest those girls

Republican pundit and Liberty Government Affairs founder Brian Darling said that failed U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore should have won in Alabama because he would have been a true foot soldier for President Donald Trump -- even if the accusations against him are true.

Darling was asked how he feels about conservatives admitting in the wake of Moore's loss that they believed the sexual predator allegations against him but attacked his detractors and supported his campaign anyway.

"We're one step closer to Democrat control of the House and Senate thanks to Roy Moore losing," complained Darling.

"And you can believe most of the accusations, you can believe some of the accusations and still think Roy Moore shoulda won because he would have voted for Trump policies," he continued. "He would vote for Trump's priorities."

Moore was defeated by Democrat Doug Jones in the Dec. 12 special election, a victory that has since been certified by Alabama's Republican Secretary of State John Merrill.
