Lieberman prefers ‘nothing’ to reform with public option
By David EdwardsSen. Joe Lieberman says that health care reform is important but not so important that he would vote for a bill that includes the public option. The “independent Democrat” blames those that insist on having the public option for his threat to filibuster health care reform.
“I’d say to the people who are all of a sudden making the public option — a government health insurance company — the litmus test here, they’re stopping us from getting something done,” Lieberman told CBS’ Bob Schieffer.
