Sen. Harry Reid: John McCain ‘is a clone of George Bush’
By David EdwardsABC’s George Stephanopoulos sat down with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to discuss Arizona Sen. John McCain as a Presidential candidate. Reid believes that McCain is a flawed candidate because of his support of Bush Administration policies and because McCain has the wrong temperament to be President.
McCain was a better lawmaker before he “wrapped his arms around George Bush,” Reid told Stephanopoulos. “Everybody knows [John McCain] has a real unusual temper, but I think that’s one thing,” Reid continued. “I think the main thing he’s wrong on the issues of America today. He’s wrong on the war. He’s wrong on the economy. He’s a clone of George Bush.”
