Ron Paul: ‘I don’t plan to endorse John McCain’
By David EdwardsCNN’s Wolf Blitzer talked to Ron Paul about a rally his has planned in the same city as the Republican convention. Paul told Blitzer that his rally would pose a philosophical challenge to the Republican’s convention.
Paul told Blitzer that he had no intention of supporting John McCain. Paul said, “I don’t plan to endorse John McCain unless he changed his views on the war and was interested in the Federal Reserve and all these other things, which is not likely to happen.”

In order to endorse McCain, Paul would have to endorse McCain’s war.
We shall see.

I often find articles where the writer seems mystified that Ron Paul isn’t being the good soldier and falling in line with the nominee, as if he is just being childish or churlish.
To support John McCain, Ron Paul would have to denounce everything he believes in — not just one or two pet points, but his entire political philosophy. Now, I suppose politicians do that all the time, because many of them don’t really believe in anything, so it is understandable that seems unusual.
But Ron Paul is about principle. It is rare and it is wonderful.
