Democratic presidential frontrunner Sen. Barack Obama, talking about his faith and patriotism at a campaign event in Wilmington, North Carolina, said that flag pin issue is being used to distract voters from real issues.
Asked about pundit attacks on his patriotism, Obama said, “When I hear people questioning my patriotism … when I see that being used to distract voters from those unpatriotic acts that are making it harder for the American people to live out the American Dream, that makes me angry. And that’s the kind of politics that we’re gonna change when I’m president of the United States of America.”
In a lighter moment, after some lively advice from 82-year-old Obama supporter Jean Weiss, Obama asked her in jest, “Would you be my running mate?”

All I want is for a Dem to win the White House.
It’s been reported that the Obama campaign dissed Rev. Wright by pushing him to the background. If this is true, perhaps Rev. Wright is just paying Obama back for the way the campaign treated him. By putting himself in the limelight, Wright is just continuing to make voters who are trying to transend race, question who Obama really is even if this is so unfair. Wright is scaring white voters.
Sad to say, Obama will not win in November. Obama supporters are naive and acting like folks who don’t have a clue as to how to win elections. Like it or not, the Clintons have one heck of a fighting machine and would respond immediately (think War Room) to any trash the Republicans throw their way.
Maybe it’s too late, but I’ve always thought a Clinton/Obama ticket would be a sure winner.

Not me, I am picky. I want a “real” Dem in the White House, not Republican lite.
Hillary doesn’t like the grassroots because we are the “people” not her chosen fans. We have to live with the bankruptcy bill she passes. We have to live with the wars she decides to wage.
We’re not rich and our children don’t have jobs with lobbyists.
Who you elect DOES matter. Don’t be fooled.

I’ll take Obama any day. If Hillary gets it by her underhandedness, with the Republicans, I won’t vote. Hillary will be some of the same old stuff we have now.We got young kids to come out and vote and they will not vote again if she gets it. Obama fired them up for the Repugs to let them down.Clinton won’t have enough to vote for her. The blacks and others will not vote and McCain will get in. There’s no way this country can take another 4 years of either one. That’s what the people will do to their country. Hillary and McCain, two of the worst choices. We will hear the same gripes in a few years, how did McCain get in.

Jamboree, one thing we don’t have to live with. Hillary voted against the ban on cluster bombs which disproportionately kill innocent children. Since we don’t live in a country that we’ve bombed using them, it doesn’t affect us.
Hillary can’t close the deal. What’s the matter Hillary? It’s naive to think that she will be better than Obama in November when she can’t make it happen right now. Or are you supporters overlooking that fact. Silly facts.
