As an EMT, I’m positive that if we went into a house and found bombs just lying around or a person spouting off about how they were going to kill every american they saw, the police would know about it, homeland security training or no. This is pretty pointless.

Didn’t the USSR have something similar back in ol Uncle Joe’s day?
Everyone kept an eye on each other and America at the time said that this wasn’t cool and a really bad idea.
Mr Stalin said, “It is all alright. This is for the protection of the state and the protection of her people”.
Seems to be a case of things going full circle.

bombs, no brainer. would you report THIS to homeland security if they required you to? I am concerned that If firefighters do not know their bill of rights, they may be misled to violate them.
RAW STORY
Firefighters asked to report people who express any discontent with the government. NOT BOMBS, ANY DISCONTENT with GOVERNMENT.

Filed by David Edwards and Muriel Kane
It was revealed last week that firefighters are being trained to not only keep an eye out for illegal materials in the course of their duties, but even to REPORT BACK ANY EXPRESSION OF DISCONTENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT.
to report about bombs= right
to report about peoples personal views= WRONG
