Speculation that Danish prince will announce engagement

Copenhagen- Danish Prince Joachim was reported to have
introduced his French girlfriend Marie Cavallier to his parents over
the Easter holidays, fuelling speculation Thursday of a pending
engagement announcement - and a wedding date.
Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik met with Cavallier and their
youngest son at Marselisborg Castle near Aarhus, gossip magazines
Billed-Bladet and Se og Hor reported.

French-born Prince Henrik was quoted as saying by Billed-Bladet
that it was the second time he and the queen met Cavallier, 31. The
magazine's front page headline splashed "Wedding Planned" during
the meeting.

Two years ago, Prince Joachim, 37, divorced his Hong Kong-born
wife Alexandra Manley. The couple have joint custody of their sons
Nikolai and Felix, were married in November 1995.

The former Danish princess Alexandra, 42, remarried in early
March.

On marrying cameraman Martin Jorgensen, she was no longer regarded
as member of the royal family and would be known as Alexandra
Christina, countess of Frederiksborg, the palace has said.
