Rabat- Moroccan police have detained the 25th suspected
member of a cell planning terrorist attacks, the national news agency
MAP reported Wednesday.
Hicham al-Moumni was arrested in the southern city of Dakhla on
Tuesday, shortly after 24 other people were indicted in connection
with a suicide bombing at a Casablanca cybercafe on March 11.
The bomb carried by Abdelfettah Raydi apparently went off
accidentally when a quarrel erupted between him and the cafe
manager's son.
The explosion killed Raydi and injured his companion Youssef
Khoudri, the manager's son, and two clients.
Twenty-four people including Khoudri were indicted Tuesday in Sale
near Rabat in connection with the case.
The charges against them included the ownership and production of
explosives and toxins in view of preparing terrorist attacks.
The suspects had reportedly planned suicide attacks against
foreign ships in the Casablanca port and against hotels in Marrakech,
Agadir and Essaouira.
They face up to 30 years in prison.
