Copenhagen- A Danish district court sentenced a Moroccan-
born man Wednesday for inciting terrorism.
The court handed down a three-and-a-half year jail term for Said
Mansour who was detained in 2005.

The 47-year-old Islamist ran his own publishing business and
distributed CDs, DVDs, cassettees and videotapes with speeches, songs
and films where persons connected to various terrorist groups called
for waging a holy war or jihad, while others praised terrorists.

Some of the material has been seized at police raids against
terrorist suspects in Germany and Italy. The Danish court ruled that
the material should be confiscated.

Mansour, who contested the charges citing freedom of speech, said
he would announce if he planned a possible appeal at a later stage,
Danish news agency Ritzau reported although his lawyer said it was a
"very harsh sentence."

The prosecutor had called for a jail term of three years and nine
months. The maximum jail term was six years.

Mansour became a Danish national in 1988, five years after he came
to Denmark. The court did not rule on revoking his citizenship.
