Los Angeles- The Anna Nicole Smith baby saga is to be
decided in the Bahamas Supreme Court Tuesday with all indications
being that Smith's partner Howard K Stern will lose his status as the
registered father, celebrity website TMZ.com reported Monday.
The usually reliably sire said that teams of lawyers and experts
are on their way to the Caribbean island, where judges are to
announce if DNA from baby Dannielynn matches samples taken from
photographer Larry Birkhead.
Though Stern is registered as the father on the birth certificate,
Birkhead filed a paternity suit after Smith's death on February 8.
Dannielynn was born in September and is the sole heiress to
Smith's estate, which could include a huge payout from her claims to
the fortune of her late oil tycoon husband J Howard Marshall, who
died in 1995, 63 years her senior.
TMZ said that Stern has resolved not to challenge the judgment if
Birkhead is declared the father, but would cooperate with him to
prevent custody of the baby being given to Smith's estranged mother
Virgie Arthur.
Smith was found dead in a Florida hotel room in February, the
result of an accidental drug overdose according to the medical
examiner in Broward County, Florida.
