A deal aimed at ending Honduras' months-long crisis has "failed," an aide to ousted President Manuel Zelaya said Friday, after the interim leader formed a government without his participation.
"The agreement failed because of (de facto leader Roberto) Micheletti... and because the National Congress did not convene" to return Zelaya to power, Jose Arturio Reina said at a hotel where he was meeting with other aides of the deposed president.
Reina faulted Micheletti's announcement late Thursday that he had formed a national unity government without including Zelaya ministers in the new cabinet.
