Democratic White House hopeful Barack Obama will venture into the New York constituency of his former foe Hillary Clinton this week where the two will appear together at a fundraiser, his campaign said Tuesday.

The Illinois senator is to hold an event in Manhattan Wednesday evening before he is joined by New York Senator Clinton at a "Women for Obama" breakfast fundraiser on Thursday, his campaign said in a statement.

The event follows the pair's high-profile reconciliation rally last month in the town of Unity, New Hampshire, were they took pains to publicly bury their differences after their bruising fight for the Democratic nomination.

On the eve of that rally the two had also jointly attended a gathering in Washington of about 200 of Clinton's top fundraisers.

The New York events were publicized on the day Obama's campaign also announced that Clinton's former director of women's outreach, Dana Singiser, joined the Obama team as a senior advisor.

By mid-June Obama had raised a record-shattering 287 million dollars since the start of the campaign, while Republican rival John McCain had collected 117.6 million dollars so far.
