US President George W. Bush will attend the August 8 opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino announced Thursday.
Bush, whom human rights activists had urged to boycott the opening gala, will also travel to South Korea and Thailand, she said in a statement that did not include specific travel dates.
