In a new "Beat the Press" segment Monday, MSNBC's Dan Abrams replayed a Sunday Fox News clip in which the network's correspondent likens Obama pastor Jeremiah Wright to Hitler.
Discussing Wright, Fox correspondent Ainsley Earhardt remarked: "I mean, Hitler did great things...many Germans followed Hitler because they thought he did great things."
Obama was put on the defensive after recorded sermons surfaced on YouTube in which Wright remarks "God damn America" and questions the country's role in the spread of HIV. Wright also suggested the US had some responsibility in the 9/11 attacks. A clip of one of Wright's speeches follows.
Obama is set to deliver a speech on race Tuesday morning.
