| | Fox & Friends: Our happy hour at convention will start at 11:30 AM

According to a poll conducted by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Washington, DC bartenders agree by 60% to 38% that Democrats are better tippers than Republicans, while 74% say that Democrats have better pickup lines.
However, the hosts of Fox & Friends who reported on the story for their viewers were more interested in the figures showing there was an almost even split on which party was more likely to arrive first for happy hour and a slight advantage to the Democrats on which was more likely to be the last to leave.
Gretchen Carlson suggestd that during one of the upcoming national conventions,"we're going to be broadcasting, actually, from a restaurant that I believe does have a bar. ... We'll just have to do our own scientific survey."
"But we're going to be still on East Coast time," deadpanned Steve Doocy. "So for us, happy hour will actually be about 11:30 in the morning."
The Democratic National Convention is taking place in Denver, which is on Mountain Time, two hours earlier than Eastern Time. The Republican National Convention will be in St. Paul, Minnesota, just one hour earlier, suggesting either way that Doocy's normal happy hour immediately follows lunch.
"Stay tuned for that," laughed Carlson.
The comments on the Star Tribune story about the poll were perhaps more entertaining than the statistics. One poster suggested, "The poll should have asked, How often does each party run up a huge bar tab they can't afford and leave it for the other to pay? Republican: 100%."
