Colbert Nation better start planning the shower. Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert is pregnant.

Prompted by a sarcastic question from Good Morning America host Diane Sawyer, Colbert revealed the news. "Yes, Yes I am. I didn't want people to find out this way," he said. "But yes, I am pregnant with freedom. It's a difficult birth."

Colbert was on the show to promote his new book, "I am America (And So Can You!)", which recently hit shelves. The pundit had to set the record straight on his rumored motive for writing it.

"A lot of people see this book as me testing the waters for a Presidential run. And I get it. I understand," he said. "I'm not confused by people wanting me to run, but that's a decision I obviously have to make with my wife and my kids."

While in the studio, Colbert also showed Sawyer his patented Colbert Shuffle and reminisced about his youthful dorkiness. "[Getting bullied] was good for me," he remembered. "I developed calluses in places most people don't. Like on your face."

The following video is from ABC's Good Morning America, broadcast on October 10, 2007.
