As cable news and other outlets look for consistent storylines on which to focus their political coverage prior to the Super Tuesday 'national primary' vote, they have returned to an old favorite not seen since New Hampshire: the impact of an "emotional moment" with Senator Hillary Clinton.

In a campaign stop at the Child Study Center of Yale University, her alma mater, Clinton received lengthy praise from a supporter who claimed to remember her from her days as a student. After the remarks were delivered, Clinton joked that, "I said I would not tear up." Raw video of the scene was posted by MSNBC, and presented below, as well as on CNN from a different angle.

Shortly after the remarks became available, networks and other news outlets began putting varying spins on the moment.

CNN rapidly broadcast a segment suggesting Clinton was tired, but neglected to show the actual content of the exchange in which the senator's decades of service for children was feted.

"We'll see what kind of reaction there is to that emotion from Senator Clinton," Jessica Yellin said in the on-air remarks on CNN, presented below.

Later on Fox News, host E.D. Hill initiated a debate on whether or not Clinton's tears were contrived.

And perhaps most bluntly of all, The Swamp blog, produced by Chicago Tribune reporters, headlined an entry, "Hillary Clinton cries in Connecticut."
