Warsaw- Twenty-seven commuters were hospitalised but none
was reported in critical condition Monday when a truck crashed into
the back of a public transport bus crammed with commuters on the
outskirts of Warsaw, emergency services officials confirmed.
The early-morning crash which occurred in the village of Wolica,
south west of Warsaw, blocked traffic on a highway linking the
capital with the southern coal city of Katowice.
Initial reports indicated the truck driver may have fallen asleep
behind the wheel before crashing into the bus, which then crashed
into a tree.
