Suspected war criminal detained in western Bosnia

Sarajevo- Members of Bosnia's State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) detained a Bosnian Muslim suspected of war crimes on Thursday, SIPA confirmed in Sarajevo. The suspect was seized in the village of Buzim in western Bosnia.
Following an arrest warrant issued by Bosnia-Herzegovina's State Court, SIPA detained Sefik Alic, 38, suspected of war crimes against non-Muslim war prisoners in the wider Buzim area in 1995, during the 1992-1995 war.
As member of the 505th Brigade of the Bosnian Muslim Army, Alic, according to report, was also believed to have participated in the offensive Oluja (Storm) of the Croatian army to overtake the control over the Croatian east from Croatian Serb troops in August 1995.
