New Orleans- Director Spike Lee has unveiled his
documentary about Hurricane Katrina to a packed New Orleans audience
of 12,000, who booed every time President George W Bush appeared on
screen.
The four-hour film by the noted black moviemaker is called When
the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts. It got its first showing
Wednesday night in the New Orleans Arena, next to the Louisiana
Superdome, which became a focus of disaster response when thousands
of survivors were stranded there without food or water.

The movie is to be shown in two parts next week on cable channel
HBO in advance of the August 29 anniversary of the disaster, which
claimed more than 1,800 lives and caused at least 125 billion dollars
in damage.

"The devastation here was not brought on solely by Mother Nature,"
Lee said. "People in charge were not doing their job."

Reports: Hudson affair with Wilson led to divorce

Los Angeles- The recently announced split of Kate Hudson
and rocker husband Chris Robinson was prompted by the actress' affair
with Owen Wilson, with whom she co-starred on the recent hit You, Me
& Dupree, according to reports Thursday.

Hudson earlier this week announced the end of her six-year
marriage. Us Weekly magazine said that Hudson and Wilson kept things
platonic while filming the romantic comedy, but a romance blossomed
in June, when the two embarked on a press junket for the film.

The pair have reportedly spent many nights together at Wilson's
home in Santa Monica, California, and representatives for the two
stars have not denied the affair.

"(Anything) that suggests that the separation of Ms Hudson was
caused by Mr Wilson ... is absolutely false," a spokesperson for
Wilson told the magazine.

Furious Aniston denies engagement report

Los Angeles- A furious Jennifer Aniston has denied reports
that she and fellow actor Vince Vaughn are engaged, telling People
magazine that "all of the wedding stories are just insane."

"People are getting fed a lot of bull" about the direction of her
relationship with Vaughn, she told the magazine, before haranguing
about the general unreliability of the news media.

"Normally, we don't even acknowledge these things, because they're
endless," Aniston said. "When it starts to travel over into the Today
show and CNN, and supposedly reliable and accurate news programmes,
then you just go, 'This is insane. People are getting fed a lot of
bull.'"
