Six killed by lightning in Bangladeshi tea shop

Dhaka- At least six people were killed as lightning struck a tea shop beside a highway near the beach resort of Cox's Bazar in southern Bangladesh, police and witnesses said Sunday. Three others were seriously injured in the incident which occurred Saturday night about 300 kilometres south of the capital Dhaka.
Witnesses said the dead and the injured were local farmers drinking tea at the shop during a tropical storm.
A Bangladeshi television news channel said the injured were admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition.
