Bremen, Germany- Germany striker Miroslav Klose might leave Bundesliga club Werder Bremen at the end of the season, he told German media in an interview published Wednesday. Klose, who was the top scorer at the World Cup finals earlier this year, told Weser Kurier newspaper that he was keen to finalize all negotiations as soon as possible.

"I want to decide where I will be playing as soon as possible to allow me to fully concentrate on playing football."

The 28-year-old still has a contract with Werder Bremen till 2008, but said he would be talking to the club during winter to discuss his future.

"Then we will see whether we are lightyears apart, or if we should continue talking to each other. Everything is possible."

Klose, who was considered one of the best German players at the World Cup finals, received several offers after the finals and said at the time that he was keen to play for a club outside Germany.

However, even though Werder Bremen is said to have received a 35 million Euros offer, the club said Klose was not for sale - at any price.

Klose said he did not think about that. "I will continue playing as well as I can to receive a second chance. The second chance has often worked well for me."

He said that he was confident that Bremen would not say again at the end of this season that he is not for sale. "I do not think that Werder will prevent me from leaving. At some stage every club will accept an offer - though I can't say how high such an offer would have to be."

The Poland-born striker, who was the highest-placed German player at the European Footballer of the Year award announced earlier in the week, said that he believed everything was possible concerning his future.

"I will first talk to Werder Bremen. The club is not just anybody. We can advance to the knockout stages of the Champions League for the third time."
