Munich- German champions Bayern Munich have joined Werder Bremen in adding Alemannia Aachen striker Jan Schlaudraff to their shopping list, Kicker sports magazine reported Monday. The magazine said Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness had informed Aachen manager Joerg Schmadtke that he wished to approach 23-year-old Schlaudraff,
However Hoeness is quoted as saying that "he cannot comment on this issue at the moment."
Meanwhile Hoeness told the Passauer Neue Presse daily that Bayern might go into the transfer marker during the winter break.
"We don't just need an additional player but someone who can really provide something extra," he said.
"We will also be looking at strikers because we feel that we need top-class there. We need perhaps a central midfield player and, as I said, a good striker."
