Prague- Police were searching Tuesday for the mother of a newborn girl whose body was found at the bottom of a well in the north-central Czech Republic. Medical examiners said the baby was probably born last week before being tossed into the open well in a nature area near the Cesky Raj national park, said police spokesman Ladislav Mares.
A park tourist examining the well found the body over the weekend.
Investigators were looking for a woman "in an advanced stage of pregnancy" who reportedly visited a nearby restaurant "several times" last week, Mares aid.
