Madrid- At least three people were injured when a car bomb
exploded in one of the multistorey car parks of Madrid's Barajas
Airport on Saturday, radio reports said.
An anonymous caller had rung the Basque emergency services 30
minutes ahead of the explosion, it was reported.

The background to the attack was unknown, but there was
speculation whether the Basque separatist terrorist organization ETA
had broken their nine-month old ceasefire.

Terminal 4 of the airport and the multistorey had been evacuated
after the telephone warning.

The injured were said to be three policemen checking a suspicious
vehicle. Several ambulances rushed to the scene.

ETA had announced a "Lasting ceasefire" on March 22, but
repeatedly threatened to resume its terrorist activities in recent
weeks.

In comments on Friday, Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez
Zapatero had expressed confidence that the peace process would be
successful.
