The Washington Post's intrepid congressional reporter Mike Allen, whose reporting has graced page ones day after day, will leave the paper for a job at Time Magazine, RAW STORY has confirmed.
Newsroom sources say Allen plans his exit by Labor Day.
Time's two-man White House team will now include the now-well-known Matt Cooper, who revealed his source in a probe into the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame, and Allen. Time has taken heat from some journalists for agreeing to release Cooper's notes.

Allen will fill the slot of John Dickerson, who left for the online Slate magazine in May.
