The liberal radio network Air America will have a Philadelphia presence starting Monday when Al Franken and Randi Rhodes bring their shows to WHAT 1340-AM. Franken's show will air from noon to 3 p.m., with Rhodes following from 3 to 7 p.m. None of WHAT's on-air staff will be replaced, said General Manager Kernie Anderson, but there we be some schedule shifting. Veteran morning host Mary Mason's show will now air from 6 to 9 a.m. Thera Martin-Connelly will be heard from 9 a.m. to noon. The Air America broadcasts will last until 7 p.m. and be followed by syndicated talker Bev Smith until 10 p.m. Reggie Bryant's show moves from mornings to a 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. slot. Anderson said Air America's liberal, progressive viewpoints fall in line with the philosophies of the talk station's African-American audience.
