A self-identified MAGA lawmaker is feeling the heat from the base of Donald Trump's supporters after appearing on a non-conservative's talk show.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who recently suggested that "forgotten" Americans should "overthrow" the government, appeared on Real Time With Bill Maher on Friday, Oct. 31. The appearance generated applause by Trump's critics, who saw Greene being critical of her Republican colleagues and the administration's actions.
But MAGA's most deeply entrenched supporters were furious, and didn't hesitate to make that known on X.
On Saturday, Greene posted, "Halloween was a blast starting with going on Real Time with Bill Maher and then going to the best Halloween party in Beverly Hills," on X. That resulted in fiery responses.
Don Draven, a self-identified military veteran who supports MAGA, replied with, "Real Time with Bill Maher, then a Beverly Hills bash with reality stars. Meanwhile, Congress is on fire, and she’s out here trick-or-treating for airtime. When you’re more booked than the House calendar, maybe you’re in the wrong House."
@LizAnn34, a user with "MAGA" in their bio, asked Greene, "When is your reveal that you’re the latest squad member?"
Another purported MAGA veteran, MAG1775, wrote, "Marjorie out here cosplaying as the new Liz Cheney, rubbing elbows in Beverly Hills while pretending she’s still 'one of the people.'"
"Keep it up, Marge," the account added. "At this rate, you’ll have a CNN contract before the tan fades."
Popular MAGA influencer Vince Langman wrote, "Oh, look the new darling of the radical left Marjorie Taylor Greene was invited on Bill Maher last night."
"Shocking," Langman added.
Popular conservative influencer Lionel added, "If you would have told me that MTG would have lost so much favor with so many conservatives so quickly I would've thought you were so out of your mind."
