There are a lot of Americans that are doing
everything they can to clean up the cesspool in the White House. That is why we have more new voters than any time in history. Bush surrounded himself with a gang of loyal criminals and it will take time to root out all the spies, crooks and thieves. I suspect after this election we will have made a great start but it will not happen over night and will not be easy. We know there were a number of Democrats that were great at bending over for the soap and some of them will have to go too. One example, why in the name of sanity would Nancy Pelosi take impeachment off the table? There will be a lot of very disappointed people if Bush and Dick are able to avoid accountability for their actions.

Miers made a Law Day speech extolling the praises of the rule of law over the rule of man. Unbelievable! And yet she hides behind the theory that Bush as Commander in chief is above the law and gives umbrella "executive privelege" to anything and everything related in any way to the executive branch. She needs to be disbarred and tried for her aiding and abetting of Bush family crimes.

Harriet, those who do not understand (or disrespect) the Constitution are not allowed to speak about the Constitution.

"It may outlast Bush..." um...Ok? does that mean it's not an important issue? then STFU, Miers.

Well, what is the statute of limitations for refusing to show up for a subpoena? I don't think that she should be allowed off the hook. A law or dozens were broken. Just because a "president" leaves office, does that mean that the laws were any less broken? Sorry, bitch, but YOU did the crime, YOU get to do the time. Fucking WHORE!

Agree with comments above. For once, I agree with Miers - it will outlast Bush and the reason is that the Democratic Congress thinks they will inherit the throne after Bush is gone with the precedents for abuse in place. al's right. A lot of them will have to go too - in both parties - but, given the egregious gerrymandering and undo attention on the presidential race, that will be a harder nut to crack. There's no doubt though. Every survey shows almost as much contempt for the Congress as there is for the president and being that they've already sold out to business interests, they can't find a way out of the box they've built for themselves.

Miers would be one of the first hanged as a war criminal. Can you imagine a bigger ass kisser in your life than someone who wrote Bush and told him she was awed because he was the most intelligent person she ever knew. Sounds like Goebels blowing smoke up Hitlers ass does't. it. Some people will do or say anything to get ahead. She makes me want to vomit.

Quite frankly the failure of our elected legislative officials in the 70s to imprison Richard Millhouse Nixon is at the root of the moral and financial cesspool that our country finds itself in today. That President Nixon and the criminal elite just skated is beyond all belief. Harriet Miers is just a representative of a class of criminals who answer to no one. The 'Rule of Law' applies to us not them.
