Things are not always as they seem are they! Not long ago we suffered a horrible attack on one of our very own naval vessels the USS Cole. At the time we were all shocked to say the least. Our military learns very quickly. It was determined at that time not to allow anyone and believe me I maean anyone that near one of our ships ever again. It was also determined that if a threat was percieved to be real (even if it was not real) to shoot first then ask questions later. This kind of action sometimes causes blowback! Now we have a situation where we see a video of boats approaching a US Naval vessel at very close proximity....seems hard to believe maybe just maybe your eyes are decieving you.........think abbout it. After the USS Cole incident it was no longer allowed aboard a US naval vessel to announce your loaction ie: how far you are from a target or how close a threat is to you. Now upon closer inspection we see two rules being violated if we are to believe this most recent incident. Do you really think our military is that bad. I think not.

I agree with you Savantster, this was important enough to edit the different video angles and have audio but not important enough to shot them out of the water. I knew that there was something fishy about this story for the simple reason that if these morons in the boat even made an attempt to attack the american ships they would have been target practice for a large armored ship. Also where the admiral is saying that the audio could have came from somewhere else than the boats, I have this to say. During the editing fo the films, which boat did you decide was the broadcaster of the signal. What you just slapped a collage of video and have an audio clip over it and say that they where the ones that broadcasted it. Radio triangulation has always been possible since WWII, and it has gotten better exponetially since then. And being a warship or a military leader, you want to be able to track a radio signal from the enemy or friend as quickly as possible (ever heard of Command and Control). This way if the leader of a missile battery or a command is giving order like what they said the Iranians said, you would be able to destroy the attackers and then the forward command so that any other units operating in the theater won't have command control to try to blow your ship up. And another thing, if they did it and where wanting to destroy your ship why radio a warning. In ships that they have a surprise is the best option unless they don't mind being on the business end of a minigun or cannon. And with them that close or in the gener area, they could just as easy had GPS and/or a laser finder and light up the ship. Then they could radio back and say a code phrase like cheese or whatever and the enemy would launch a missile without major radio traffic. What happened is they got caught trying to make evidence for an attack against Iran again.
