Elder Bush refuses to attend Kennedy's funeral

Son attending is enough, Bush I says

Former President George H. W. Bush, who has enough stamina to sky-dive each year on his birthday, apparently doesn't have the stamina to attend Sen. Ted Kennedy's (D-MA) funeral.

The elder Bush's spokesman told the AP Friday that the 43rd president decided not to attend when he learned that his son would be going.

A spokesman for Bush said Friday that he and his wife, Barbara, decided not to attend Kennedy's funeral after learning their son, former President George W. Bush, would attend.

Spokesman Jim McGrath quipped that Bush Sr. feels his son's presence will "amply and well represent" the family at Kennedy's funeral Saturday.

In a statement released following Kennedy's passing, the elder Bush released a statement saying that he "always respected" Kennedy.

"While we didn't see eye-to-eye on many political issues through the years, I always respected his steadfast public service," Bush said in a statement.

Kennedy "was a seminal figure in the United States Senate - a leader who answered the call to duty for some 47 years, and whose death closes a remarkable chapter in that body's history," he added.

Bush released a condolence statement on behalf of him and his son immediately after Kennedy's death. It was part of a stream of fond remembrances issued by Republicans.

All other living presidents -- President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush and President Jimmy Carter -- will be attending.

Perhaps Bush I doesn't want to be anywhere near W either.

It's ok, I don't plan on going to either of their funerals.

  2. Gregory B

The way AP has phrased the first paragraph, it appears he doesn't have the stamina to be in the room with his son. Nice touch.

  3. langx

Actually your son should be in prison.

  4. Derrick

    Umm, who really cares??

  5. jivetalkin

Its probably best the elder Bush "refuses" to attend Sen. Ed Kennedy's memorial service.

  6. I guess bug-eyed Barbara will be celebrating the anniversary of Katrina and her wonderful statement about how black people:

  7. Andy

The less Bushes show up, the better. That doesn't just apply to this case, but most situations in general. The Bushes aren't a family, they're a virus that learned to talk.

  8. JackA

I would not want either one of these losers at my funeral nor would I want to hear any of their excuses.

"The Order of Skull and Bones"
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know, But Were Afraid to Ask.
    By Kris Millegan

Rodney Stich's book "Defrauding America" tells of a "deep-cover CIA
officer" assigned to a counter-intelligence unit, code-named Pegasus. This unit
"had tape-recordings of plans to assassinate Kennedy" from a tap on the phone of
    J. Edgar Hoover. The people on the tapes were "[Nelson] Rockefeller, Allen
Dulles, [Lyndon] Johnson of Texas, George Bush and J. Edgar Hoover."
Could George Bush be involved in the JFK assassination?
In 1963, Bush was living in Houston, busily carrying out his duties as president
of the Zapata Offshore oil company. He denied the existence of a note sent by
the FBI's J. Edgar Hoover to "Mr. George Bush of the CIA." When news of the note
surfaced, the CIA first said they never commented on employment questions, but
later relented said yes, a "George Bush" was mentioned in the note, but that it
was "another" George Bush, not the man who took office in the White House in
    1988.
Some intrepid reporters tracked down the "other" George Bush and discovered that
he was just a lowly clerk who had shuffled papers for the CIA for about six
months. He never received any interagency messages from anybody at the FBI, let
    alone the Queen Mary.
It is also worth noting that a CIA code word for Bay of Pigs was Operation
Zapata, and that two of the support vessels were named Barbara and Houston.
    .........................
    No wonder he won't attend

  10. independent

I can only hope that his refusal is due to ill health.

  11. Winski

Scum runs deep in that hog wash.....

  12. steve

No surprise here. "Poppy" Bush, director of the C.I.A. was in Dallas when JFK was murdered (by the C.I.A., in my humble opinion) so why would he attend, bad luck to show up, there. People might talk.

  13. arzini

This is a joke: the next time the goddamn bastard, racist, son of a Nazi takes a dive out of a plane somebody should go skeet shooting. Why is it only Republicans make jokes like this?

  14. if

It's amazing how people can never think long term. George H.W. Bush is 85 years old himself... If he doesn't go and dies in the next 4-5 years, who will he want showing up at his funeral?

Obama: I'll send Gibbs or Biden...
Clinton: I'll send Gore or maybe Chelsea...
Carter(if he's alive): Well, BIden and Chelsea can represent for me. I got world peace to do...

  15. Acleacius

george sr, was in the CIA, when John and Robert were assassinated. It was John that ordered the CIA not to invade Cuba, which they disobeyed. The two US ships used in the invasion were named Barbara and Houston. george sr, is married to barbara and was living in Houston atm, iirc.

  16. fact checker

"The elder Bush's spokesman told the AP Friday that the 43rd president decided not to attend when he learned that his son would be going."

GHW Bush is the 41st president, not the 43rd

  17. NoOneYouKnow

Guilty conscience? Bush 1 still can't remember where he was when JFK was shot, and when he attended Gerald Ford's memorial service he had kinds words for Ford's handling of the Warren Commission. And is that Bush 1 in the famous photo of the three men outside the Book Depository right after the Kennedy shooting? Hmm.

  18. David Feldman

Maybe GHWB is afraid the funeral will help him remember
where he was on Nov. 22, 1963?

    http://tomflocco.com/Docs/63/BushJfkBookDepo.htm

  19. surgethis

All the Bush's are filth and should never have had anything to do with the presidency ... the fact that this one thinks sending in his half brain dead son qualifies as anything is remarkably inane.

  20. Satan!

It's a shame that's the Bush's and Clinton's aren't attending their own funreals instead, so sad. Better luck next time though, I'm hoping for a plane crash myself or some freak accident involving a beheading myself.

  21. CurlyMoe&Obama

Bush 1 may have been involved in the assassination of his brother. An awkward position to be sure for poppy Bush whether he goes to the funeral or not.

For those who want to watch an excellent documentary on the assassination of JFK, google, Dark Legacy by John Hankey, there are usually youtube versions available. After watching that it might not be so hard to figure out why Bush won't be at the funeral of Teddy.

  22. theWalrus

Ah..the Bush family...lowering the bar one President at a time.

  23. Deb - Maryland

Perhaps Bush I is afraid he'll run into Bush II there.

  24. Richard Crow

Apparently we can add no class to the party of no.

Republicans could not take the "High Road" if they had a freaking GPS

  25. JP

    What a horse's ass.

  26. Mary Jo Kopechne

I don't like Bush1, but I respect him for being true to himself. I'm certain there are a great many politicians attending the Kennedy funeral that would prefer not to, but cower to external pressures. I'll be there, but how many you will?

  27. Richard Waid

Well, since Poppy Bush almost certainly had a hand in whacking Ted's brother Jack, it's only right he should stay home from Ted's funeral.

  28. Ex-Canuck

    Hmmmmmmmmmm, about what I expected.

    Bush family "class" strikes again!

This country would have been so much better if the bush family did not exist - it has abetted the Nazis, enriched the war machine, killed millions, stolen from the poor to give to the rich, etc., aetc., ad nauseum...

  29. mamameow

maybe he does not want to be seen with his son. what has happened to their "relationship"?

  30. km1550

Who's really interested in seeing that immoral troll anyways?

  31. Joe

change the headline douchbags.... you make it sounds like he isnt going bc he doesnt like him and its the wrong choice of words.... there are so many other headlines that you could've chosen, for example a couple could be... "Elder Bush not attending Kennedy's funeral" "Bush 41 not attending funeral"

  32. JFM

Well, he and his party worked hard to defeat all the policies Kennedy stood for. I guess some conflicts in values lie too deep for Bush to forgive.

  33. dave

Way to stay classy there bush.

  34. not surprised seeing as how he was connected to the JFK plot and the warren commission and his father was nixons mentor. i bet 41 was happy the last kennedy brother was dead.

  35. billofatlier

I think this is more a testament to the shame he feels for LiL' bush.

  36. Truth

    What a total shitbag

  37. Oliver

    What an asshat

  38. Gene

Where was "Poppy" Bush the day John F. Kennedy was assassinated? "Poppy" Bush's answer----"I don't remember."
Is there anyone with awareness alive on that day that doesn't remember what they were doing? Poppy had a CIA shill oil company called Zapatista Oil. Zapatista Oil was the front company used to set up the Bay of Pigs fiasco. Poppy was standing in front of the School Book Depository at the time of the killing. Does the idea of a lookout cross anyones mind? There are PHOTOS.

  39. Joe Fritz

    Wow!!!!!

Maybe he does not want to be seen with his own 'SON"
    Interesting indeed.

  40. David R Velasquez

Yeah,... like (BushSr) will be missed.

    Not!

  41. marzi

One more evil living president attending the funeral. The others are grotesque anyway.

  42. If I had a son like George, I wouldn't want to be seen with him either.

  43. panamarick

Well I for one am glad to hear this old dirty bastered wont be going. It will cut down on how may times Ted will have to roll in his grave. Now if we could just get Bunny-pants not to come and slow Ted's rolling even more. The last thing this man would want is a bunch of media whores and has-been's crowding his Chi.

  44. ToughEnough

Interestingly both men’s fathers saw eye to eye on financial support to the third Reich in their own areas of interest. But why do the Kennedys care about all people, as in humanity, where as the Bushes care about people, rich white and privileged. The only answer is the purity of the Irish soul, and soullessness of rightwing patriarchs and their progeny.
Will the rich pricks of this time be Kennedys or Bushies, my bet is on Bushies, greed is overwhelming.

  46. hardrain77

Maybe he feels guilty because he helped get his brothers killed.

  47. what a ass....!!!

  48. Jimbo

I don't have a problem with him not going. He probably doesn't want to be seen with W.

  49. jack bobby

Of course George H.W. would not attend. After being involved in the killing Ted's brothers can you imagine the uproar by the family if he did attend?

  50. mmeflutterbye

    Who'd notice?

  51. I wouldn't be surprised if Bush I croaks--belatedly--soon enough.

  52. jeffersonsghost

This POS has no respect for anyone other than himself. But I have no respect for him or his POS jr. son!!

  53. Zog The Obvious

Nice. It's kinda funny- of the two former Presidents Bush, I thought Bush Sr. was the one who had SOMEWHAT of a brain in his head....

  54. abrahambenjudea

    Aww come on...ONION SKIN

  55. pikaomega

    Pure class.

  56. Starcats

Daddy Bush is no 41, not 43. 42 is Clinton. 43 is douche bag, I mean W.

  57. Marc

Here, they are, as friend of patriots or Corporations:

    Carter - least Corporate
    Obama
    Clinton/(papa Bush)
    (Reagan)
    Bush - Most Corporate

Help Obama get a strong Public Option, to finally
    defeat for-profit, international, Corporations!

  58. Joe

Go easy on the old man. After all, son George W. was a public embarassment. Maybe he doesn't want to be seen in public with him.

  59. dedhed

What a douche. When W was a kid, Poppie didn't have a funeral for his daughter Robin(?) when she died either. Trying to ignore her death and not explaining life and death to junior began the slow, inevitable process of screwing-up W's thought processes.

  60. FormerRepublican

Why would he mourn the death of a member of a family he has participated in attempts to exterminate. I hope his participation in those actions come to full light before his own funeral.

  61. P.D.

Every other former Pres. is going to be there, why not him? I think the Kennedy's would rather have Bush Sr. than Bush Jr. attending.

  62. TIEL

    What a coward

  63. DJ BALL

Never trust a Bush unless it's burning.

  64. NotABrainlessDem

I really don't care who does or doesn't attend Teddy's funeral. The important thing is, the most liberal senator is gone from the Senate and he ain't comin' back! Break out the champagne, it's a new and better day in America.

  65. Chris

Unless he is too frail/sick to go, he should sit there and be respectful just like Clinton and Carter did for Nixon, Reagan and Ford. Granted Teddy wasn't President, but he was a Senator longer than any of them were elected leaders on the national stage.

41 says W will "amply and well represent the family." It isn't about representing the family, its about representing the office that you held, you old fool. Send your boy wonder, Quayle or Barbara to represent you. W is there representing himself.

Perhaps W doesn't need his own Presidential library, or secret service detail, or government pension. After all your family already has one of each of those things.

BTW - Teddy had BRAIN CANCER and still managed to go to the Democratic Convention and the Inauguration, so unless HW is REALLY sick he should take some Dayquil and get his ass on a plane.

  66. GBeik

Good For you Pres! I wouldnt go to a girl killers funeral either...

  67. craigg

Maybe they can use this opportunity to slap the cuffs on GWB.

  68. damonwlf

    What difference does it make?
A member of the Bush family is attending because it's a politic thing to do when a Kennedy dies. They didn't like him when he was alive, why should the whole herd show up when he's dead? I think the media and some of the more rabid left are looking for anything to bash the Bush family over. They have enough to atone for without adding sensationalistic news crap to the pile.

  69. "All other living presidents -- President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush and President Jimmy Carter -- will be attending."

And Bush Sr. won't attend; what a slap in the face to Ted Kennedy and Democrats as well. People will attend Bush Sr.'s funeral, even though he sired America's first full-blown sociopath that was installed as President. Is it his hatred for Kennedy's compassion for the people that's keeping him away - or are he and his wife angry at their demented son?

Either way, American's won't forget this vicious slap in the face of Senator Kennedy's love for the people - and even though dignitaries may line-up when Sr. passes on, they will have to have security to keep some of the downtrodden from dancing on his grave.

  70. Gina101

Maybe it's hard for him to travel. Last I saw him, he wasn't moving very well.
But I guess they'll put out a subpoena for his appearance, because after all,
YOU MUST ATTEND AND YOU WILL CRY at the funeral. Very fascistic.

  71. Thomas Jefferson

He was involved in the assassination of his brother. Then he responded to the FBi when asked where he was that day: "I don't remember". He's already seen a dead Kennedy.

  72. Terrymo_1

May both bushs rot in hell and maybe they can take "GBeik"
    with them.

  73. skr

The Kennedy's know GHW Bush was involved in murdering John and Bobby Kennedy. Any invitation was simply a political obligation. More Kennedy's, less of the evil Bush clan. Time to bring the Bush's to justice for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

  74. Yuri

In honor of George W's attendance tonight, everyone should wear a gun in support of the 2nd Amendment.

  75. marinessuck

If George W was my son I wouldn't attend either. Better yet, Bush One could invite his son over for a Dick Cheney .44 Magnum lunch.

  76. getalifelibs

Good for Senior. I wonder if any of Mary Jo Kopechne's relatives will be attending.

  77. It must be a conspiracy theory behind the scenes.

  78. Pam

Not a brainless, yeah, you don't like healthcare for your fellow Americans, do you?
The right to life party is not about right to life, it's about death unless you have money. Ted Kennedy was a great American and a man of integrity. GHWB knows he 's outclassed, what did he ever do for Americans?

  79. truthandgoodness

i wouldn't have invited the fuckers.

  80. Hildagard of Bingen

George HW Bush is losing it - crying uncontrollably in odd situations. I think his handlers are afraid he will confess to the murders of the Kennedy Brothers and MLK if he shows up.

  81. dennycrane

He feels uncomfortable being around the family that lost a member in Dallas that he had part in. He probably didn't even attend the funeral of his grand daughter that died of leukemia....the next day they all went to play golf. This "family" is the exact opposite of the Kennedy's. I don't even think the "Rice Krispie" people---"Snap,Crackle and Pop will show up at his "Quaker Oats"-looking-bitch-wife's funeral. Go fuck yoursef.

  82. dennycrane

    dedhed

Thanks for mentioning the daughter. Your post was seen while I sent mine, I corrected it also. Good work.

  83. Fashion Fred

Pappy Bush was head of the CIA at the time of John Kennedy's assassination. There are those who believe he had something to do with it. I wouldn't put it past him. Just as another poster said, the Bush clan is filth. I didn't even have any opinions about politics one way or another until that asshole became President in '88. Thanks, George, for waking me up. I've hated his family ever since. When he croaks I will celebrate by going out and dancing up a storm.

  84. disgusted

I thought the Repubs were the ones filled with hate?

  85. John

For a family with so much wealth, they sure don't have much class. So much for the "upper crust." WEAK.

  86. Heil Mary

    E. Howard Hunt, one of JFK's assassination organizers (he taped a deathbed confession and mailed it to his son), was ALSO SEEN ALL OVER CHAPPAQUIDDICK a few days prior to Ted's "accident". I believe Bush, Sr. dispatched Hunt to finish off his last Kennedy rival. A recent biography of Ted recounts a sad episode in which he got drunk on a plane after attending a Native American rights conference. The alcohol triggered a frighteningly truthful rant in which he fretted over his murdered brothers and himself being next. The Bushes probably also offed JFK, Jr., not only because his aptly named magazine, George, might out the Bushes' crime sprees, but also because he could have run against (AND BEATEN) W. or Jeb.

  87. Sellitman

If Sr. Had an ounce of class he would of been there. Typical Republican asshat.

  88. Heil Mary

    FormerRepublican:
"Why would he mourn the death of a member of a family he has participated in attempts to exterminate. I hope his participation in those actions come to full light before his own funeral."

Are you implying either W. or H.W. caused or hastened Robin's death somehow? Since the Pentagon, CIA and AEC were heavily into Nazi-like radiation experiments on unwitting civilians and soldiers in the U.S., I have wondered how Robin contracted leukemia. Many military and CIA parents subjected their own kids to ruinous experiments and I met many such victims during Clinton's hearings on the radiation experiments. I wouldn't put it past the Munchausen by Proxy Bushes to "sacrifice" Robin for "national security" or to cover up family incest.

  89. Winski

    Bush I is an IDIOT!

But it seems to run throughout the family - both sides....

  90. empi

The old bugger would probably be passing gas the whole time so STAY THE FUCK HOME you piece of shit and your big ugly wife too.

  91. tvfreezone

The odor of two Bushes in the same vicinity would be overpowering. The fact that the Kennedy family permits George W to attend is a testament to the family's democratic credentials. George W, also known as the torture president, should excuse himself and retire to Dallas and wait for his impending indictment. As it is, all the other living presidents must rub shoulders with a treasonous, murdering punk. I will be surprised if Jimmy Carter even shakes his hand.

  92. HMMM!! Papa Bush and Baby Bush not getting along???

  93. tom

BUSH WAS AT THE BOOK DEPOSITORY THE DAY JFK WAS KILLED. THEY KILLED JFK BECAUSE HE STOOD UP TO THE ILLUMINATI AND THE CENTRAL BANKERS. JFK WAS GOING TO MAKE SILVER THE USA MONEY BACKER. RIGHT NOW WE HAVE A PAPER CURRENTCY, WORTHLESS. IN 1964 THE SILVER COINAGE WAS STOLEN FROM THE TREASURY AS THE GOLD WAS WHEN FDR OUTLAWED ONWING GOLD IN 1933. THE FEDERAL RESERVE ARE A BUNCH OF EUROPEAN BANKERS THAT WANT THE USA AND IT'S MONEY. WOODROW WILSON GAVE OUR COUNTRY AWAY IN 1913, CHRISTMAS EVE WHEN NO ONE KNEW. HE CREATED THE FEDERAL RESERVE AND THE IRS THAT IS BASICALLY OWNED BY THE BANKERS. THE USA DURING 2010 TEN WILL BECOME THE " NORTH AMERICAN UNION" MEXICO, CANADA AND THE US. THE AMERO," JUST LIKE THE EURO " WILL BECOME THE CURRENTCY. AFTER A SHORT TIME THE 8 UNIONS THAT WILL BE PRESENT WILL BECOME " THE NEW WORLD ORDER " SATAN AND HIS RIGHT MAN WILL BE IN CONTROL AT THAT POINT. IT WILL ALL TAKE PLACE FOR YOU TO ACCEPT THE CHIP IN YOUR RIGHT HAND OR FORHEAD. DOOOO NOT ACCEPT THE "MARK OF THE BEAST" OR ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, HELL AWAITS YOU.

well...when the bush's all croak (hopefully very soon) i will go to their gravesites and take a huge dump

while the children and grandchildren of joe kennedy spent lifetimes trying to make up for the evil that their father did, the children and grandchildren of prescott bush have spent a lifetime following in his nazi footsteps

may the entire bush clan burn in the hell they have created

  100. Jackie

No surprise the Senior Bush wont attend as Daddy played a large part in the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. For years Daddy Bush has been jealous of the Kennedy Family. Daddy Bush even became President once and his son twice and still the Bush Family can't light a candle to President Kennedy. Most Americans wont remember the Bush Presidents as we see most Americans can't name most of the US Presidents. But Washington, Lincoln and Kennedy as the Bush name would be known among the worse Presidents. Now Richard Nixon has company as the Bush Presidents have knocked him out of first place. Daddy Bush might be busy with those lap dances he get's from young girls in bikinis.

  101. fishfry

Teddy was a seminal figure alright.

  102. kennedy lover

Hey, HW. Thanks for reminding us why the Kennedy family was so beloved...and why your dreams of a Bush dynasty are just scary and dangerous to our Republic.

  103. John Galt

Glad to see that the False Left vs Right Paradigm has so many of your retards so firmly in it's crutches.

    Bread and Circus...

  104. PNW

Probabaly afraid they might mistake Bar for a rotting corpse and try to bury her

  105. I'm sure the Kennedys have made it clear that the man who whacked JFK and RFK isn't welcome.
Not sure why the guy who whacked JFK JR. is going.
Maybe he'll 'choke on another pretzel' at the event and go home with a broken jaw.

  106. I Remember

What is heartening is the number of people who openly state the facts, that Bush 41 was directly responsible for the assassination of JFK. The Nazi appeaser, the agnostic banker and traitor to America believes he is above the citizens of the United States. Well George we know who and what you are. We are very pleased you won't be there, it is tragic that your imbecile son will be.

  107. Because...

as much as I wasn't a Teddy Kennedy supporter, I would think that Ted would come back to life just long enough to wrap his fingers around George's feckless turd neck and choke and choke and choke until the fetid dank dog shit that pumps in that bush bastard's veins, starts to ooze 'eraser head' swadling clothed dummy style, out of the miserable mass murdering prick's mouth.

and then, I could tell Ted; "rest in peace, you did HUMANITY a service, and for that, future generations will remember you made right all the transgressions of your past with the sole action of removing a mass murdering parasitic scumwad from the ranks of the living beings of this destroyed by his ilk, planet.

yeah, I would imagine a Ted Kennedy coming back to life long enough to choke that bastard to death for us all. wouldn't that be wonderfully good!!!

  108. Michael Douglass

Yes, GHWB got sentimental about the Warren Commission at Ford's funeral, because Ford and the boys helped cover up the truth about JFK's assassination. It was Ford who appointed Poppy Bush to head the CIA after it was caught taking out Chile's president on 9/11/73. Yes it sure looks like his fingerprints are all over The Bay of Pigs and it sure like his gangly ass lurking there in the background shot of the cops in front of the Texas Book Depository on 11/22/63 linked here in the comments. There's a reason he breaks down in tears in public. Unlike his sociopathic son 43, 41 has a guilty conscience and a lot of skeletons, skulls and bones in his bloody closet. I wonder if he yells Geronimo when he jumps out of planes these days. At least he is not the pilot when he does it these days and no one dies when he bails out.

  109. Andy

I wonder if the family of Mary Jo Kopechne will attend.

  110. Johnny Walker

Alcohol takes its toll sooner or later

  111. J Snow

George HW Bush won't attend Ted Kennedy's funeral because he doesn't want to be reminded of his CIA involvement in the murder of John F Kennedy (he was in Dealy Square in Dallas on November 22, 1963 when JFK was murdered); Robert F Kennedy's murder in Los Angeles in 1968 (his CIA "boys" had their finger prints all over that murder); and John F Kennedy, Jr's murder in 1999 (Pappy Bush didn't want anything to interfere with Dumbyass's elections).

Old scumbags don't like to be reminded of their dirty deeds.

  112. Kim

Obama not corporate? What a joke, he is a Wall Street puppet. You have to go all the way back to Grover Cleavland to find his match. Even Wilson won't do.

Kennedy voted to deregulate the banks in 1999 just like Pelosi did, both voted for the bailout needed due to their actions. Kuchinich voted no in 99.
Wellstone "We seemed to have unlearned the lessons of the past"
    no wonder he is dead.

  113. Gene

"Poppy" got his name because he spearheaded the CIA operation to flood the streets of this country with drugs. I sat a watched an agent on TV. He reported to Bush's next in line . He told Congress his involvement in 5 CIA front companies whose only job was to flood the US with illegal drugs to pay for Reagan's Iran-Contra. He was busted at the Miami airport. Bush did a photo op in front of the drugs and money while campaigning.

  114. Rudy Speakes

Don't make a big deal about it... He and Barbara didn't even attend their own daughter's funeral when she died of leukemia. They went golfing that day. They aren't and never have been humans.

  115. Iggy

Russ Baker, in his recent book about the Bushes, "Family of Secrets," provides proof "Poppy" was in Dallas on the 21st and 22nd of November 1963 and that Poppy was CIA beginning no later than 1953.

If you haven't read "Family of Secrets," do. Find out how Poppy is linked to the events surrounding JFK's assassination, Watergate, etc.

Fox Nation Turned Off Its Comments For Kennedy Thread
Reported by Ellen - Wed 12:41 PM
Fox Nation, that website that boasts about being a haven "for those committed to the core principles of tolerance, open debate, civil discourse--and fair and balanced coverage of the news," doesn't seem to have quite the same faith in its readers. It has removed its comments section for its leading story announcing the death of Senator Ted Kennedy. This despite the fact that comments on the site are moderated. Screen grab after the jump. UPDATE: Apparently the comments and the vitriol are available at Foxnews.com.

Fox Nation: A Website Of Division, Not Debate
Reported by Ellen - Sat 11:41 AM
Fox Nation boasts that it's a community "committed to the core principles of tolerance, open debate civil discourse --and fair and balanced coverage of the news," yet we have repeatedly documented their deliberate efforts otherwise. Today's front page is another good example. One of the top stories "asks" "Why is Obama changing the 9/11 anniversary?" Clicking through to the story brings a paragraph of diatribe of inflammatory invective with no balance, not even a word about what Obama is trying to do or why. Add a sentence accusing Obama of being a racist and it could have been written by Glenn Beck.

  119. From the tone of the article, it sounds as if Poppy just doesn't want to be anywhere near that hopeless sack of shit that sprang from his loins. Man, if ever someone needed birth control, Gee Dumbya and Gee Hey Dumbya are the best fuckin' arguments for it.

  120. Liam

George HW is another Confederate corporate pig are are of that family since they so kindly with Barbara transplanted from Connecticut. They are cursed failures and when George II dies, and especially Barbara, I hope NO ONE pitches up. Silence speaks volumes for as a family they have collectively in action and in inaction done massive damage to the country.

  121. Paul Matthews

McLean, Virginia -- We have survived the Bush Administrations, thank God. Now, we have to live through their criminal memories.

    Never forget. Never forgive.

  122. TakeOurCountryBack

Why would he attend the funeral of the brother of the president he helped kill (JFK)?

  123. Considering George H. W. has been implicated in the murder of Teddy's brother John (see Dark Legacy), it wouldn't be surprising if he stayed as far away as possible from the Kennedy clan. Who knows, they might even have their own little "lone nut" waiting in the wings.

  124. Sam I. Am

I cannot write anything funnier or closer to the truth, than what I have been reading. It is just...in poor form for him not to attend, but like y'all have been saying...leave it to the Bush's. I hate those bastards. Teddy would have gone to Bush's. Like him or hate him, he loved his family, and he had class. It is just as well. He knows he is hated. His son is just too fucking stupid to catch that.

He actually thinks people respect him. I'd kick him in the balls, if he had any.

  125. Frannypat

If Bush Sr. doesn't want to attend, then let him stay home. Natbe his conscience is finally getting to him. And Teddy a man of integrity? NOT-or you can ask Mary Jo Kopechne's family about that one. Teddy was the baby of the Kennedy children, and was used to having everything done for him. So cover up in Mary Jo's case was totally expected by the Kennedys.
The man may have done some good in the senate, (??) but he lost his credibility with me a long long time ago. Integriy, no, self serving yes. However, it is sad that all the Kennedy brothers are gone. A long dynasty and only Jean Smith is left. God Bless you, Jean.

  126. Sam I. Am

Bush couldn't make it because he is having a picnic on the grassy knoll.

  127. penelope kelly

Love the picture ! odd, i didn't know bush was That kind of guy, nice to see the happy couple picture.

  128. Shame on Bush Sr. You don't send one family member to represent the whole family at a memorial. All other living presidents attended (to my knowledge--I didn't see President Carter). I don't know what kind of statement Bush Sr. is trying to make with his absence. It didn't sit well with me.

I never liked either Bush, but I give Bush Jr. credit for going. To me, that was the first time he ever appeared real.

  129. Brad Glover

Everyone should go to Bush 41s Library website and read the introduction he gave to Teddy Kennedy when Bush 41 presented Kennedy an award for public service back in 2003. Also read Kennedy's remarks on the same website about the Bush family. Many of the commentators on this website would learn alot about being political enemies while maintaining personal respect and even friendship.

  130. Bush 43 screwed his mouth the entire time in the church this morning. He was clearly uncomfortable. 43 is always uncomfortable around people. Why? Maybe his conscience is bothering him. 41 has been a jerk like his son. McCain and Hatch were heartfelt last evening. Very funny and comfortable talking about Teddy. The Bushes can go suck eggs.

  131. rick boston

The Bushes have had their filthy hands in a lot of hidden treachery. Including helping to arrange the release of the hostages from Iran on Reagan's inauguration day.
But, with increasing age, Bush 41 must care less about appearances than he did in the past - because his failure to attend does look offend.

  132. Rex Ozone

I'll be darned! I agree with the "elder" Bush. No one could be more representative of the Bush family than "W." And at last he has some positive credit to his name, he appeared interested in something. Thank the planets that this die nasty dynasty is no longer pulling the ripcord for all of us.

  133. Brian

There are some low life people posting on this website. George Bush Jr. and Sr. were greater presidents than any of you dumb asses could comprehend. Anyway, this is about the death of a person of served our country; although with all of the wrong ideas. LEARN SOME RESPECT DEMOCRATS!

  134. J Snow

To Brad Glover: I suggest the Grimm Fairy Tales if you want to read good literature. It is a shame that the Kennedys don't have anyone in the CIA who will return the Bush Family's favors of murdering JFK, RFK and JFK, JR. Hamurabi's law, you know.

  135. wiseturtle

Fuck both bushes!! And the bitch barbara too!!

  136. Steve Holland

C'mon! Give the guy a break. Yes, he still jumps out of airplanes on his birthday, but that takes but a few minutes. For God's sake, Kennedy's funeral has taken three days. I don't know if I could have made it through that and I'm just 67. I am no George H. W. Bush fan, but this stuff sounds a lot like Fox news. Phony outrage, deliberate distortion, incendiary comments designed to provoke anger and hatred, calculated deception. I like to think we on the left are better than that, but I could be wrong. The thing that scares me most is that I am right about being wrong.

  137. very disrespectful...unless ill of-course, but Carter was there, and hes older than them all! Thought on another subject McCain should have shook hands with Kennedy's wife...left abruptly...rude as well.

  138. Bird

The difference between these two families, the Kennedys and the Bushes, is like night and day. The bushes have only contributed to furthering business and the wealthy communities. Most of the Kennedy have lived a life in service to this country that is unparalleled; two died in WWII, two brothers politically murdered with countless other issues, such as disability, initiated for the poor. They were obviously wealthy enough to not have to worked as hard as all of them have in service to this country.

  139. M bailey

Kennedy was not friends with everyone! Most people writing against the Bushes would not be attending the funerals of people they didn't like or were enemies with. So stop the hypocrisy.

  140. M bailey

Carter is younger than Bush by some months, but that has nothing to do with a person's well_being....

  141. J Snow

So many self-righteous ignorant sociopath Limbaugh Dittoheads, Hannity Skinheads, and O'Reilly Blowhards... so little time. Yes, that includes you, Brad.

  142. Willy

The kennedys are a royal pain in America's arse.

  143. valletta

Read "Family Secrets" by Russ Baker (I think?)
It came out earlier this year, I just picked it up at the 'brary.

I've read everything about the Bush Family but this book will open your eyes no matter how much you think you know about that cabal of corruption.

It will be clear why he didn't go to the funeral....

  144. Iggy

So, Mr. Moderator, why did you delete my earlier post that mentioned Russ Baker's book, "Family of Secrets?"

  145. who needs him. beelzebub's board of directors is well represented without 41.

  147. nofltwlt

Oh, wonderful, Dubya attended. What wonderful words did he offer?

  148. C.C.

Now, go easy - recall that GHW Bush had a lot of work to do as a young man cleaning up his own daddy's reputation - Granpappy Prescott Bush and the Union Banking Corporation's secret backroom deals with the Nazis early in World War II, deal which "continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act."

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar

"While there is no suggestion that Prescott Bush was sympathetic to the Nazi cause, the documents reveal that the firm he worked for, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), acted as a US base for the German industrialist, Fritz Thyssen, who helped finance Hitler in the 1930s before falling out with him at the end of the decade. The Guardian has seen evidence that shows Bush was the director of the New York-based Union Banking Corporation (UBC) that represented Thyssen's US interests and he continued to work for the bank after America entered the war."

Wow! What a mess that was, huh?

Then came 1952 - a banner year for the military-industrial complex if there ever was one. Privatized nuclear energy and weapons manufacturing, covert CIA coups justified by Cold War 'geostrategic necessity' claims, all driven on by the discovery that Stalin had stolen the secrets of the H-bomb using spies - and McCarthyism! Where was Bush HW in 1952? Well, the links between Prescott Bush and the Nazis had not been made public, so Prescott managed to get elected to the Senate in CT...

  149. Chris

This is still a free country, yes? So he chose not to go. What is the problem?
What done is done. Move on.

  150. scamper

I wonder if any of Mary Jo Kopechne's family was invited. I know Teddy was there when she was killed but "Dont know anything about George Bush being in
Dallas. The first is a Reality, the second is a myth.

  151. scamper

If I was defending the Kennedys, I dont believe I would bring up Nazi Germany. Oviously you are not aware of Joe Kenndys recall as Ambassador to England over his Nazi sympathies.

  152. Dead Puppy

Yep. poppy bush did not kill this kennedy so why attend the funeral. besides he is to busy counting all his cash from the bumper crop of opium coming out of afghanistan that W allowed to grow.

  153. The Truth

This blog has some of the most ridiculous, wild, hateful comments I've ever seen.

  154. Georgiaguy

The Bushes lack any class or maybe Barbara is really in bad health. I saw her in 1995 in Maine and she walked like a really elderly woman then with much assistance getting up stairs at a dock. I know they must be in Maine this summer at Kennebunkport and how sad that they didn't hop in the car for the short drive to Boston. It couldn't be more than two hours drive from their summer home. I think they only spend time in Houston in winter.

  155. What a bunch of despicable human beings you are. So what, a former president and first lady in theri mid eighties are not going to a political enemies funeral. He released a very respectful statement, yet all of you choose to badmouth.
But you are the party of good, isn't that correct?
Please do your homework, and you might find out that even the Kennedy's have flaws - well documented ones.
May Teddy rest in peace and may his family be consoled. He was a great Senator and public servant, and I have no doubt he would find your immature little rants boorish, to say the least.

  156. Fingerwagger

These left-wing comments are unbelievable. I just don't understand how any of you can sleep at night.

I am so much better than all of you.

  157. I have read 154 comment's. This is the first time I have commented
on one of these sight's. You people are passionate. I applaud you !!

Bush#1 was C.I.A. That is a fact. Was he involved in JFK's assasination ?
He was not. IT WAS A LONE GUNMAN !! Bush hates/hated the Kennedy's
for purely political reasons. #41 has no class. I voted for him, so I can
    say that.

There is a bigger issue.... for the future... WHY, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY,
HOW-HOW do politicians know when to point and/or use their hands to
express themselves ? Did anybody see Arnold at the funeral ? Did he
wave his hands for the entire two hours, or just the 15 seconds he was
on camera ? I have noticed this phenomenon throughout the years. I
was employed by the ABC Television Network for 15 years. I did football
games, I was privy to internal contacts. DID ARNOLD REALLY HAVE
SOMEBODY PROMPTING HIM AT A FUNERAL FOR CHRIST's SAKE ?
After watching, I believe so. I witness this act ALL the time. The last
time that it upset me this bad was when Rudy G was at a Yankee game
right after 9/11. What in the hell was he pointing at ? Was it appropriate?
    It was not appropriate today.

Arnold's hand's should have been folded. If anybody had a right to
direct attention, it should have been his wife, JFK's neice.

I know it is a little off point. Can somebody tell me how they know when
they are on camera. What was he pointing or flapping about ?

  158. Ed Straker

Bush Snr didn't go because he knew Ted knew, deep down, that Bush had had some hand in the deaths of Ted's brothers. The first thing RFK did after learning Jack was dead was call the CIA and ask them if they'd killed John. Not the sort of action you'd do unless you had a prrrrrrrrrrrretty good idea that the Agency wanted JFK six feet under. And then in 1968, half of the Agency's top killers, (including one who "admitted" to friends many times that the CIA had killed both brothers) just happened for no job-related reason at all to be in the hotel ballroom where Bobby was shot dead - by an obviously mind-controlled 'lone nut' who could teleport across a room to hit RFK in two directions at once and also fire more bullets than his gun held without reloading.

  159. Just as well that Bush I and his wife chose not to attend the Kennedy services.

A single, stiff and sour looking Bush II was sufficient representation from a family that clearly lacks the vitality, honor and compassion for others that Teddy's folks have inherited in spades.

Poppy was not missed. Teddy will be for a very long time to come.

  160. Zachary

The notable 1980s CNN reporter ,Mary Tellussoon, would no doubt be asking George H. W. Bush how the extramarital affair is going. Who could forget her question in front of the Kennebunkport mansion.

We all know why George W. attended the funeral. This is high season in Provincetown, and George W. will be heading to the fabulous PENISula that resembles a big dick. The BOYS OF SUMMER are a temptation he can't ignore.

I saw Barbara in around 1984. At that time, she was the veep's wife. She was attending a function, and she was being escorted to a room in a building. For all I know, Jeff Gannon could have been one of her escorts. That Jeff gets around. Two services for the price of one. Could be? The Bushes sure know how to milk the system.

  161. Zachary

I wonder if Fred Phelps turned up for the funeral.

Frddie boy doesn't look too well. He should take his Geritol, and save his strength up for the Bush funerals.

  162. george

maybe he thought there would be an incident

  163. Tartuffe

Why would someone neck deep in the plot to kill Jack, attend his brother Teddy's funeral?

I think we just found Bush Sr.'s hypocrisy threshold. Pretending to care about a man much greater than himself, was too much even for Shrub Sr.

    Junior has no such boundaries.

Besides, Bush Sr. is close to his own death, and busy making bargains with God over sins so innumerable they make anything Teddy did, look like amateur hour.

  164. Conservative Grandma

Seems to me that the only people willing to write about the Bush family are the socialist and communist pigs. Finally you all are coming out of your holes.

  165. m

Not showing up was the greatest possible honor that Bush41 could bestow. Too bad Bush43 doesn't have the same class his father does. Both should stay out of sight, preferably in jail cells.

  166. Bil

When bush 1 was in office, years ago a talk show host, Chuck Harder ("For The People"), asked listeners to call in with their "letter to the president" comments. All week for three hours each day people spoke for a few minutes, and Chuck said he sent the week's comments to the White House. That was the greatest vocalization of Hate that I've ever heard. More people hate ghwbush for more reasons than anybody else. Iran-Contra, Kennedy assassinations, Bay of Pigs, skull and bones, nazi connections, his four weird sons, mistress Gennifer Fitzgerald, and much more.

  167. Lory

The elder Bush is a jerk for refusing to go.......shows he has no class as a former president. Hope people in DC remember his lack of compassion when it's his time.....they should all refuse to go to his memorial....Pffffffffft

  168. natty

So reading thru the comments it is pretty clear that HW Orchestrated the killing of the Kennedy's. (would not surprise me one iota...)

So I sent an article to raw which they didn't print about how the libyan guy who was released was a patsie for Iran who we needed to invade Iraq in 1990. Bush tampered with the Scottish investigation... (Iran retaliated for the USS Vicennes downing of Iranian airliner which had 60 children on board.)

  169. Tom E. Brown

You mean Bush Sr. is still alive?

  170. George Pospisil

    E. Howard Hunt, CIA operative who, records indicate, was in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, though he denies it, and who was likely the man who identified himself with a CIA ID to a Dallas policeman while emerging from the trees on the grassy knoll, left Dallas immediately to return to the East Coast. There, he reported immediately to-- guess who?-- George HW Bush. The "kinder, gentler" Bush is the one who betrayed Noriega in Panama and Hussein in Iraq after first befriending them and promising them support. The man is evil and not to be trusted. I would not want him at my funeral.

  171. M. Thompson

I can't believe this. People on here are actually wishing for the death of someone? I was no fan of Bush or Clinton, but come on.... Someone who wishes death on someone else has deep problems. You people should get checked out. And while you're at it - Go fuck yourselves.

  172. Undisturbed

It's not a formal state funeral. Kennedy's receiving more honor than he deserved.

I wouldn't've gone either. Kennedy was a serial sexual harasser, (anyone for a waitress sandwich, Sen Dodd?) and was a scandal to the Church.

Likeable though he might've been, Edward M. Kennedy was not a good man.

He was popular, though. As National Lampoon wrote in a fake '73 floating-volkswagen ad, "If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagen, he'd be president now."

  173. winski

Poor pappy ....gotta keep that strength up for chasing barb...can't be bothered with no funeral outside texas...damn yankees wanna take our stuff away anyho...dang it.....gotta get me some bbq......aarrggghhh....

    Obvious waste of space....

God, and she is distressed and dismayed at the depths of to which right-wingers will descend to with their ingrained and inbred hatred and fear of anything or anyone who disagrees with the anti-American agenda of their cult, especially if they 'are not like us'.

  177. @M Thompson
If you had left out your last sentence, I would agree with you. But you discredit yourself with your last 3 words. I agree with an earlier poster about the hate on this site. It's a lot of immaturity. When any post in a blog like this contains swearwords, I can't take it seriously. I am poor and disabled. I mourn the loss of a strong advocate. I didn't like the Bushes at all. I don't have to swear to express my opinion in a public forum. I still feel that unless Bush Sr didn't go due to illness, he should have been there. Nevermind the past. Public figures are held to a different standard. Ted Kennedy worked hard for this country. George Sr. may have spared himself a lot of grief and contempt if he had either gone, or if his absence was due to illness, he had said so.

  178. @bwc
    yes

  179. legalpad

....and he had so far to drive, too. kennebunkport to boston would be some TWO HOURS in a chauffered limosine! how can a man of bush's stature be asked to endure that?

  180. jivetalkin

Elder Bush is quoted "Kennedy "was a seminal figure in the United States Senate - a leader who answered the call to duty for some 47 years, and whose death closes a remarkable chapter in that body's history," he added."

I look forward to the day when the "Bush body of history" will end soon too!

Let's face it, Bush was never nor will he be a statesman of any sort!

  181. Zachary

This Web site is refreshing because the posters are allowed to speak what's on their minds without a Nazi moderator wielding a big stick.

Like all of us, Ted Kennedy had some flaws and demons. But who wouldn't have a few demons and addictions with the negative karma he, and his family, faced. It's a wonder he was sane. Before the age of 36, two of his brothers had been assassinated, and he had lost two other siblings in plane crashes. And let's not forget that two of his children were diagnosed with cancer.

Poppy Bush and Babs should have been at the funeral. As several previous posters have mentioned, their Kennebunkport mansion is fairly close to Boston.

I suspect their decision to not attend the funeral was possibly due to their deterioating appearance. I don't know about Bab's appearance, but poppy was not looking well the last time I saw him on TV. But if poppy can jump out of an airplane, he should certainly have the energy to attend a funeral.

Maybe they're not sleeping well? No doubt they have a lot of guilt due to their evil sins and transgressions.

If sleeping is a problem for poppy and Babs, I know just the Houston doctor for them. His name is, Dr. Conrad Murray. It will be a match made in heaven.

Democrats can dish it out, too. Back in the '90s, I remember seeing quite a few Dr. Death bumper stickers. Dr. Death for Clinton's White House doctor.

  182. dessertgirl

to if, If GHWB doesunfortunately die in the next four or five years, I am sure President ROMNEY will well represent the country and hopefully Michelle Obama, wrapped up in a big, black BOW, will stay home to take a nap in her own bed.

  183. Fae

To leave it up to his son to represent him is ridiculous. He was also president, and with that comes his own responsibility. That whole family is a disgrace. I never cared one way or the other about the elder Bush, but think otherwise now. He is a jerk- I guess it is like father, like son.

  184. Fed

George H.W. Bush was the 41st president, not the 43rd!

  185. I am heartened to read that so many know GHW Bush was CIA from day he joined Skull&Bones, as was everyone else who joined then. The CIA was and is the private army of the true ruling class. They protect investments and business deals, e.g. Unocal's Afghan pipeline plans before 9/11. J. Edgar Hoover's memo documenting the visit to his office on 11.23.63 in which he mentions George Bush as CIA is enough to lead me to believe 41 was involved in JFK's ambush. I'm sure the Kennedy family knows this better than me. Regards.

  186. Wow - look at all you conspiracy therorists....the majority of you really are crazy! If it wasn't so funny it would be sad. Actually, it is sad.
It's time to move to New Zealand.

  187. Kate

I don't know who has been worse for this country George Bush or His Son.

I applaud Obama for doing his best trying to get us out this mess.
Stupid Bush's son got us in a war we should have never gotten in to.
Yes I do supports Our Troops!
I just do not support THE STUPID BUSHES.

I WONDER IF SARA PALIN IS RELATED TO THEM? ROFL

  188. Kate

One other thing when the OLD BUSH FINALLY DIES. YOU CAN BEST FOLKS WILL NOT GRIEVE over him like that did Ted Kennedy.

  189. Richard Nixon

If I were alive, I would attend. Let me make this perfectly clear (or as clear as a known liar, like myself, can make anything), my entrance into politics was paid for, and funding for it, by Prescott Bush. He reached out and tipped my hat when I walked into the foyer of the House of Representatives on my first day back in the 1940's.

Soon after that, I was introduced to Chicago mob/organized labor thug, Jacob Rubenstein. You all know him as "Jack Ruby." He was the guy whom my real bosses, the mob, told he had to kill Lee Harvey Oswald if he wanted to stay alive. Oswald had started talking about who the real killers of President Kennedy were when he called himself a "patsy," on nationwide TV news.

I met with Lyndon Johnson, one of those five people in the Pegasus CIA phone tap recording of Bush, Sr. and Hoover and Crichton and the other guy whose name I can't recall. I remember when the tape was played on several local radio stations when the House Committee decided that JFK was killed by a conspiracy. The thing is, Bush and Hunt used my old CIA guys who I had set up the Bay of Pigs invasion. I knew they were in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. Why, hell, I was there to. I met with these people at oilman Clint Murchison's home late the evening of Thursday, Nov. 21, 1963.

I set up the Bay of Pigs when Pres. Eisenhower told me to. He didn't want to be seen violating the Constitution by setting up an illegal attack on Cuba.
That's how this whole damned thing got started. I cooperated in Kennedy's assassination because I was mad at how he used tough talk about plans to attack Castro with, during that TV debate. I was under a secrecy oath and couldn't say what he was able to say. It's how he got elected. It was so close.

I knew that the son of the guy who brought me into politics was involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion. He had these oil rigs off the Cuban coast that Castro took away from him in 1959. George H. W. Bush became a CIA "ass-et" He was rich and he and his buddy, a guy named Bill Liedke, raised and donated a lot of money to the CIA's Operation Mongoose and Alpha 66. I was the guy caught in the middle. I had to cooperate with these thugs because I knew what they would do to me if I squeeled on them.

When I knew the CIA guys I had in the White House to stop leaks of my private information, were the same guys that E. Howard Hunt and Bush, Sr. had recruited into CIA anti-Castro secret operations, and they got caught by some attentive cop (always there when you don't want them), I knew Hunt was too damned stupid not to talk if it meant he stayed in prison. Hunt threatened me that if I didn't get him out of prison and more than $1 million to pay off his rip off attorneys, he said he would tell about my involvement in the JFK murder.

I paid him his money, by paying his wife. Then, Bush, Sr. who worked for my re election campaign in 1972, did something at the airport where Dorothy Hunt's plane took off for Chicago. The plane crashed, and FBI agents were waiting for it to crash. They turned off the runway lights when the plane started landing. It crashed. They were there, looking for all that cash, and grabbed up as much as they could find. We never saw any of it, those bastards. I'm sorry for what happened to Hunt and his children.

When Ted Kennedy was thinking of running for president before McGovern jumped in, I told Haldeman that "that poor SOB had no idea what was down there on that bridge." It got recorded by that tape system I never could figure out how to operate. The one controlled at my desk. I also told him that "the Warren Commission was the greatest hoax that has ever been perpetrated." I told him also that "This Hunt, if it gets out that he was involved in the breakin, that it will open up the whole Bay of Pigs thing. It involved these Cubans and the Texans (guess who folks!), and Hunt and the CIA, and a lot of hanky panky. (Nixon phrase for crooked business, etc.)
It will blow the whole Bay of Pigs thing."

My boy, Haldeman, my top aide, had the disgusting truthfulness to tell the world what I meant by "the Bay of Pigs thing." He said it in his book, "The Ends of Power." He told everybody it was me really saying "blow the lid off the cover-up of the Kennedy assassination in Dallas." I had to quit the presidency so that truth would not come out. It would have come out in a Senate investigation, with Ted Kennedy present and accounted for.

Ted had to be stopped. He would have easily beaten me. He would be able to use my involvement in his brother's death. I told Haldeman and one other aide that they should tell the media that Ted and McGovern had both been involved in the attempted assassination of former Alabama Governor, George Wallace. Oh, yeah, that's when I made my remark about how fake the Warren Commission was.

After I ripped off the 1972 election when Bush, Sr. helped run the CREEP re-election fund raising, when I fired my whole WH staff, Bush was the only one I kept on. I told Ziegler that "Bush will do anything for our cause." My cause was keeping the JFK assassination connections to myself and the CIA covered up. That's what Watergate was all about. I appointed that other friendly liar, Gerry Ford, as my new VP.

I knew that, as president, he would appoint Bush as CIA Director when the House Dems who ran the place had decided to reinvestigate the JFK assassination. Ford did. Bush did everything for our cause by stalling the investigation of the CIA's role in the assassination. He was covering up his own ass's involvement in it, as well as mine.

As I peek out of the submarine spy glass they laid beside me in my casket, I see that Bush's son has done terrible things to the Constitution. Even worse things than I did.

  190. Good! For the first time in a long time, I have some respect for the elder Bush. Enough of the crocodile tears for for Teddy, who got vastly more privilege and power in life than he deserved.

All of you at the beginning and maybe the rest too are just a bunch of LIBERAL WIENIES. It would be a true honor to have them at a funeral. I do respect Ted Kennedy very much though so don't say anything about that.

  192. Mitch Kranes

Maybe he did not attend because he said he thought it was enough to have his son attend. Maybe he is a gentleman and knows how odd it would be to have he and his son attend. Maybe the rest of you are simply stupid. Maybe he was being kind and in fact did not want to be in the same room with a bunch liberal Kennedys. Maybe he is just smarter than the rest of you. Maybe he was a great president and should have had a second term. Or, maybe the rest of you need JOBS! For the love of God, what the Fuxx is wrong with all of you? Most of you said you would not want him at your funeral. Good. You think he'd go if you invited him? You are all too stupid. Get jobs!
