Republicans fight Obama Supreme Court choice

WASHINGTON – Republican lawmakers pressed an attack against Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor on Monday, fighting an uphill battle to derail her nomination by President Barack Obama as the first Hispanic justice on the top U.S. court.

Sotomayor, 55, was widely expected to win confirmation on the ideologically-divided nine-member court which rules on key Constitutional issues, which could include the death penalty, abortion and gun rights.

She's a self admitted racist, ideologue.. Several times over.

    She shouldn't be confirmed. Period.

The only reason she WILL be confirmed, is the propensity of SOME PEOPLE to COMPLETELY OVERLOOK RACISM WHEN IT IS POLITICALLY EXPEDIENT TO DO SO.

    Our government should be colorblind.

  2. [...] is, of course, no sanity in the Rushpublican Party of today. Judiciary Committee senators kept up partisan bickering Monday [...]

Theater, thrills spills, adventure and non stop 24/7 media coverage to follow.

Flying under the radar this week will be drone attacks killing terrified civilians in Pakistan, continued US efforts to aid the immoral coup in Honduras despite the lies of Obama to the contrary, more coverup and head in the sand behavior from Obama as new torture details emerge about Bush and Cheney having more knowledge and involvement than previously thought, more chaos in Iraq as big oil digs its claws deeper into their vital organs, and two bills in the Senate and House that declare war on organic farmers.

And yes Obama shills, I realize that the makeup of the Supreme Court is important business. But like our elections process it will be sexed up, hyped up and lack any honesty or input from anyone but greasy dirty Washington insiders.
