Abortion can be the right decision for a woman AND her child if she herself could find no way to provide it with a descent life, if the child was the product of a rape, or if the child or mother would have sever health issues going through with the birth.

That being said, it is very important to increase the information available about adoption options and is usually the better choice. The availability of contraceptives should also be increased, especially to young, single individuals who are more likely to not want a child should they get pregnant.

My friend (Asian girl although I don't see that matters much) recently had to have an abortion. She pressured the father into helping her pay for the procedure although he was reluctant. Getting an abortion hurt both of their reputations and many asked why she did not plan to give the child up for adoption but they ultimately respected her decision.

Abortion should be a decision between women and their doctors. They should be able to find the procedure if needed but it should be a last resort. A legal and regulated choice, but a last choice.

Our world is becoming more and more of a global community. If we plan to prosper in the coming situation we should put racial differences behind us while remembering cultural and historical difficulties. Many who claim to be christians fail to recognize how much of a liberal social revolutionary Jesus of Nazareth was in his time, saying to be peaceful and to care for your neighbor, no matter who they were.
