Iranians are not ignorant Third World people. although the faction that supports Ahmadjinebad" (?) tends fit that description -- volkisch Red Staters, less educated, socially conservative -- etc. . The pro-Westerners are the good guys in Iran,y -- the reformers, the "European", cosmopolitan Iranians, as opposed to the more rural, Islamic, fundamentalist, volkisch, less educated, more rural, "Red State" factions in Iran. The Ayatollah has accepted the petition to contest the election. There's hope. The only vote that matters has yet to be cast. There are REAL, indiginous forces for reform in Iran.
