Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) formally jumped into the 2020 presidential campaign.
While appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America," Harris announced that, "I am running for president of the United States and I'm very excited about it."
During her interview with ABC, Harris said that "the American people deserve to have someone who is going to fight for them... who will be concerned about them and put them in front of self-interest."
Harris will be joining what is already a crowded field of presidential candidates that includes Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI).
