Society in general is a “collective”, a group of people working together to have a safer place to live their lives. Specialization in production means each person does a small piece of the job, then COLLECTIVELY it all comes together into a finished product that benefits someone (typically a group).

It seems clear to me that your understanding of economics is fatally flawed, probably totally learned from watching things like FOX and “business channels” that never actually DEFINE various terms. I agree that we've not been under a real Capitalism in America and that corporate fascism is where we are now, but you clearly don't know the proper definition of Socialism and Communism in economic terms and seem to conflate that somehow with political models like dictatorships and single party state-centric governments.

Socialism and Communism are about the means of production when talking bout economics. Since those terms have been so bastardized over the past few decades, they now have multiple meanings.. when one word means too many things, the word becomes nonsensical for use in debates. .. which is exactly why we can't have conversations in America any more; the ruling elite have all but destroyed our language through lies and deceit.

Nothing in Socialism says you can't “own stuff”, it says you can't become massively rich by owning the means of production. The people that want to own the means of production want to control a thing, they want power over others. As they get more power, they want to keep it along with their eventually ill gotten gains from a rigged game, then they take away your liberties… not me.
