palinturtle Poll: Plurality of Americans do not like Sarah PalinLooks like the voters are going rogue.

According to new CBS News figures [PDF link], 38 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Sarah Palin. Meanwhile, 37 percent are not paying attention, saying they do not know enough to form an opinion.

Just 23 percent of those surveyed think highly of the former Alaska governor. Among Republicans, her favorability rating is even more surprising: only 52 percent. Among Democrats, that figure is predictably anemic, with only four percent giving her high marks.

The survey revealed that Palin's greatest support seems to come from white evangelical Christians, who would support a Palin 2012 presidential bid by a slim majority, 48-42 percent.

Overall, two out of three people surveyed said they do not want her to run for the presidency during the next election. Even a majority of Republicans -- 44-48 percent -- do not want a Palin candidacy in 2012.

"Overall, 26 percent of Americans say she could be effective in the job," CBS reported.

Sarah Palin's book, "Going Rogue," goes on sale Tuesday.

what was her book again? Going Rouge? Going Vogue? Going on the Rag? I wish she would crawl under her stupid-rock where she was hit in the first place.

    ROFL!!! I "liked" this.
  • Isn't the title "Gouging Rove"?
    :D
  • though i can't stand the woman, "going on the rag" comment of yours was a little TOO sexist, thank you very much. She may be an idiot, but it's not because she gets her period.
  • Kristin
Thank you. I second you. That gotr was vulgar. I too am very, very critical of her as presidential timber. However, she deserves respect as a person.

she deserves respect as a person.

    Why?

"going on the rag" comment of yours was a little TOO sexist

    That gotr was vulgar.

    That's your problem, not Peter's.

When someone, anyone is 'offended' by something, it's their problem, not the fault of the person who 'offended' them.

It's not Peter's fault you have delusions. It's yours.

I cannot let this question pass unchalleneged: Palin deserves respect as a person because she....ummm...because when she....ermmm....never mind.

Define "person". A corporation can be a "person" under a law that was never checked. A corporation that "sells" itself as a bad product has "no" value" to the common people. It then can be "red" tagged and discounted. There, is that less offending.

she deserves respect as a person.

Why? She's a complete and utter moron. She even refuses to accept evolution, which is the cornerstone of biology; it's been proven time and again. She deserves absolutely no respect, she deserves to be abused into obscurity/suicide. She's an insult to the human race and proof that 'intelligent life' does not exist, at least not in the form of homo sapiens.

Palin seems to have an utter disregard for respecting others, so why should anyone return the courtesy? I know her type. She is a bully, a narcissist, a very deceitful, manipulative woman. Bad news.
  • Kristin
I did not mean “respect” in the sense of esteem, but rather courtesy,
civility. In my opinion, the phrase was a gratuitous ad hominem remark. I do
not believe in acting uncivilly to or about someone just because the person
is acting that way. That behavior would just reflect back on me as a person
rather than “proving” anything about the other person. Kristin

Her personhood entitles her to nothing. There are 6.x billion just like her, most, actually, better. Her personhood is a simple biological fact. Respect is earned through one's deeds, not the accident of birth. She might as well have been born a mosquito for all the good *she's* done so far.

And same to you... Please! that wasn't sexist... if she was a man and I had the opportunity, I'd say something degrading about his tiny little penis - as I have in the past in fact, I would... And in fact, if she was a man I may have made the same comment I just made. Not every comment about menstration is meant to be sexist! please don't be stupid!
