rushlimbaughcigarsmoke Limbaugh: Palin is ready to be president, Obama a one termer'Eruption' at polls will turf Democrats, talk show host says

Sarah Palin is ready to be president, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh says, and she doesn't need to bone up on the issues either.

Asked by Fox News' Chris Wallace if Palin is ready to be president, Limbaugh hesitated for a moment and said, "Well, yes. I do."

Limbaugh continued, "One thing I do not do is follow conventional wisdom, and the conventional wisdom of Sarah Palin is 'She's not smart enough. She needs to bone up on the issues. She's a little unsophisticated. Alaska, Where's that?, [She] doesn't have the pedigree,'" Limbaugh said. "She's the only thing that provided a spark for the Republican Party."

The conservative talk show host added, "This is not an endorsement, but I do have profound respect for Sarah Palin. There are not very many politicians who have been through what she's been put through and still able to smile and be ebullient and upbeat. This woman, I think, is tough."

Story continues below...

The conventional wisdom surrounding Palin soured in July when she resigned as governor of Alaska for vague reasons. A recent poll found that 71 percent of Americans believe she is not ready to be president.

Limbaugh also predicted an "eruption" of voter sentiment against the Democratic Party in the 2010 mid-term elections, and also said he was betting on President Barack Obama to lose the election in 2012. He cited health care reform and climate change legislation as the two issues that would prompt a rebellion among American voters.

"I know that there is an eruption waiting to happen at the ballot box," Limbaugh said. "I know that a majority of people in this country are opposed to every single major agenda item that Obama has proposed and is trying to get passed. The mainstream media doesn't do it, doesn't know it. They think they need a visa to go to Missouri."

Support for health care reform, particularly a public option, varies widely from survey to survey, but in general polls have found anywhere between 55 percent and 75 percent of Americans in favor.

Of Obama, Limbaugh said, "If I had to bet now, he will not" win re-election, though he added he had "no idea" who would. He did not mention Palin in this context.

A drug addled overstuffed bag of noxious fumes and fatty tissue predicts that an ignorant, illiterate, sophomoric huntress will become president!..........the fact that these two clowns and the gang of ex-Bushite criminals are still out there,in the media, walking free amongst us,voicing their twisted opinions and hatred is breathtaking!!

ANYONE WHO WOULD THINK SARAH PALIN IS READY TO BE PRESIDENT HAS TO BE ON DRUGS
  • socialismorbust
OR party loyalists OR uninformed OR just plain STUPID!
  • Phil E. Drifter
Why you gotta give drugs a bad name? You must be talking about alcohol; that's the only drug that makes you stupid.
  • I love obama
Only James Warren Jones was on more drugs than this guy and that was before the poisoned koolade incident.
  • edwards_com
    Oh Please GOP....
    RUN HER IN 2012
  • Phil E. Drifter
The GOP is regretting they ever picked her as McCain's running mate. They are just wishing she dies in an 'accident'.
  • edwards_com
    Phil,
I don't think it speaks much for McCain's judgment either.
  • Phil E. Drifter
Well he's a moron. I don't know how he's kept his seat so long; the only answer is, his constituents must also be morons. But there is no doubt in my mind it was not McCain who chose Palin, it was the GOP. he'd only met her once, for under an hour, before he chose her as his running mate.

And the GOP chose him as the presidential contender because he's next to the grave. He's so much of a moron he actually thought he had a chance at the WH; just like Palin, Mr. "The economy is fine...oh wait i'm canceling my presidential bid to fix the economy"

Vicodin/Viagra poisoning is detrimental to brain function, along with ideological inbreeding. Palin, Cheney and Limbaugh also appear to suffer from the horrible disease known as Selective Dementia. It's difficult to distinguish between that and Notquitebright Syndrome in the diagnosis as they may both be present simultaneously.
  • Welcome to Boss Limbaugh Bizzaroland, where reality is flipped 90 degrees.

Sarah Palin quits her day job and has a 51% disapproval ratings among registered Republicans.....but she is more than ready to become President.

The Dems put forth a gubernatorial candidate that fails to gain the needed support of the Black and working class electorate in Virginia that was resposible for electing Obama in '08...but the Republicans are on the rebound.

A wingnut "independent" Teabagger carpetbags himself with wealthy money (yeah, right, Dick Armey's a populist. Yeah.) into an already Republican district, and could end up electing a Democrat to that district. But....the Conservatives are WINNING.

The Repubs are now down to 21% popularity with the public...but they wil "turf" the Dems in the general election.

Me thinks that Rush needs to back off the Oxycontin a bit...it's affecting his brain again.

Or, maybe, he's got Orly Taitz on the brain. Ugh.

Sarah Palin isn't fit to do my laundry let alone run the country. The woman is a bully just like Limburger. No wonder he likes her.
  • To borrow from H.L. Mencken, as the office of the president more and more closely resembles the intelligence of the average knuckle-dragging American, on some great a glorious day the White House will be adorned with a downright moron like Palin.
  • Phil E. Drifter
    Mencken was a genius.
  • socialismorbust
He is NOT a "conservative" talk show host. He is a "NEO-CONSERVATIVE" talk show host. Ike and Lincoln were conservatives; Limpdick is a Fascist-enabling garbage mouth.

When you think of it, there is no place for the word "conservative" in today's politics unless you consider "centrists" to fill that role. We need to do some "spinning" ourselves and call it like it is: NEO-FASCISM!!! As in: Cheney, Palin, Limpdick, Coulter, et al are NEO-FASCISTS...NOT conservatives!
  • mcstain
    SOCKS, dude!
  • Phil E. Drifter
He's only on Palin's nuts because he wishes he could have sex with her.

Palin will be a distant memory come next presidential election.
  • terrymo1
When did limpballs give up young boys?
  • mcstain
What's up with the freaky, ultra-white capped teeth? You know he's lost all of the weight in hopes of making Palin wife #4. Too funny!
