amd rushlimbaugh Rush Limbaugh tells environmental reporter to kill himselfAndrew Revkin, The New York Times' lead environmental reporter, is taking heat. And this time, it's not global warming.

Controversial conservative talker Rush Limbaugh, a longtime critic of the global warming concept, told the reporter to kill himself during his show Tuesday.

Limbaugh dubbed the reporter an "environmentalist wacko."

"This guy from The New York Times, if he really thinks that humanity is destroying the planet, humanity is destroying the climate, that human beings in their natural existence are going to cause the extinction of life on Earth -- Andrew Revkin," Limbaugh quipped. "Mr. Revkin, why don't you just go kill yourself and help the planet by dying?"

Of environmentalists in general, the conservative heavyweight declared they're really just would-be suicide bombers.

Story continues below...

"I think these militant environmentalists, these wackos, have so much in common with the jihad guys," Limbaugh said. "Let me explain this. What do the jihad guys do? The jihad guys go to families under their control and they convince these families to strap explosives on who? Not them. On their kids.

"Grab your 3-year-old, grab your 4-year-old, grab your 6-year-old, and we're gonna strap explosives on there, and then we're going to send you on a bus, or we're going to send you to a shopping center, and we're gonna tell you when to pull the trigger, and you're gonna blow up, and you're gonna blow up everybody around you, and you're gonna head up to wherever you're going, 73 virgins are gonna be there," Limbaugh added.

Politico noted that Paul Krugman, the Times' Pulitzer-prize winning economic columnist, blogged: "Always good to remember what we’re dealing with."

Limbaugh figures large in conservative politics, with some conservatives acknowledging that he's among the most influential members of the Republican Party.

A full transcript of Limbaugh's remarks appear at MediaMatters.org. Audio from Limbaugh's Oct. 20 radio program follows.

That guy is such a moron. It's pretty sad that people out there listen to his broken, distorted logic compounded with lies. It's worse that he's (and his listeners are) so stupid as to not understand some basic concepts...

"that human beings in their natural existence are going to cause the extinction of life on Earth "

Uh, fat drug addict boy? cars are not "natural", cities are not "natural", nuclear plants are not "natural", clear cutting forests for farm land is not "natural", the island of plastic in the ocean the size of Texas is not "natural". That's all "man made intervention" in the "natural" world, and those behaviors are altering the "natural" processes on earth. Those are simply facts.. facts you clearly can't get your doped up brain around.

What's more f*cked up is, we don't HAVE to live like this (so at odds with the natural systems around us). In fact, if we don't stop doing what we do now and start cleaning up this mess and learning how to live in harmony with the planet, we will fundamentally alter the natural processes so much that we will cause wide spread death. Dumb asses like Limpballs stand directly in the way of progress, and for no reason other than they are simply too stupid to understand just about anything.

You are so right and I would like to add one thing: Not only are these people too stupid to understand, they are also too lazy to change anything about the way we live.

Recycle? Too much trouble! Solar power? Too expensive? Stop clear-cutting forests? That will cost jobs!

Everything ties back to cost.. which is something we created by letting those that came before squat on all the natural resources so that us that are here now, and those who will come next, all have to struggle and beg and fight just to have access to those natural resources. The squatters, who are only here before us by dumb luck, demand to live like gods while the rest of us scratch out a living on whatever scraps they deem us worthy of.

And the most expensive thing (in terms of what drives all other things) is energy... we don't recycle as much as we should because it costs more to recycle (in many cases) than it does to create it from the raw materials. If we had unlimited energy and it was essentially free (no one charging for that resource, everyone just has access to it), we could do all kinds of nice "mass recycling" which would go a long way towards saving our planet.

The solution to both of those problems (individuals squatting on natural resources that logically belong to all living beings) is to abolish money and turn over the resources to the general public. Scientists could work on things that mattered (like alternative energy) instead of what brings more money (like Viagra).. we would be investing resources in sustainable technologies, not ones that maximize profits by exploiting "cheap" but dirty oil as energy.

And speaking of costing jobs... Automation (that "good for business bottom line" process) is going to keep making more and more humans obsolete in the labor world. Machines do it faster, better, longer, and don't need retirement packages. Eventually, we'll make all the machines with other machines, and everything will be made by machines. Then what? ... More people born every day, less labor needed from them every day.. That's a lot of unneeded people who don't get paid for labor, so who are the machines building things for? No one can buy stuff, no one has jobs..

That's why I like this site .. www.thevenusproject.com ... The future will come no matter what. We should probably greet it instead of fighting it so the precious few can keep living like gods at the expense of billions of humans and uncountable numbers of other living creatures.

I say the same thing about christers, if the "other" side is so great, kill yourself and get there quicker, quit pestering me. Hopefully, by the time "pig-skin-boy" goes thru his suitcase of viagra, he will suffer a blow to his "head" and bleed to death.

    I like your style dennycrane. I co-sign

No one has a right to waste our future or our kids future for money...No one..

Limbaugh likes to have sex with children that is why he travels with his friends to countries like the Dominican Republic with a bag FULL of VIAGRA. Limbaugh is a PEDOPHILE SUICIDE BOMBER. Limbaugh will kill himself someday when the pictures show up showing him sucking some mans cock-like Jeff Gannon
  • lousgirl84
I keep hoping those photos will come up so he can be disgraced before all of his sheeple followers. I wonder what all the rednecks would say if they saw actual pictures of Limpballs sucking some mans cock. I am sure they would find a way to make excuses - perhaps that the liberals photoshopped it.
  • Spiffarino
Limbaugh, Palin, Bush, Cheney...any one of them could eat a baby on live TV and the rightwing would have a ready-made rationale for it in less time than it takes to get a pizza delivered.
  • lousgirl84
Yep, you are probably spot on. I still do wonder why no one has caught this guy in the act. Why was he in Dominican Republic with a suitcase full of Viagra. Everyone knows that's the place to go to have sex with young me.

I think we all agree Rush Limbaugh is a jerk but EVERYONE posting here better do some research about carbon tax and the coming Copenhagen treaty. If you want every aspect of your life controlled and taxed depending on how much electricity, water, or food you consume and it's 'carbon' foot print, ASK NO QUESTIONS.

If you want to know why James Hansen, good buddy of Al Gore and NASA scientist is promoting Global Warming so fiercely that he fudged the numbers on CO2, do your research. Ask why MIT is showing that CO2 is not building at the rate predicted. Ask why scientists are relying on a paper that cherry picked it's numbers on Tree Rings in europe.

Or just go to bed stupid tonight, and pay your Corporation Carbon Tax and buy the shoddy un-environmentally friendly goods they've been producing year after year, and now want you to pay the price for.
  • RoadScholar
The % of CO2 in the atmosphere has not been higher than today's in 15 MILLION YEARS.

The oceans are becoming acidified because of the massive amount of CO2 they've ALREADY absorbed. If not for that, the globe would be frying by now. Florida would be under water. Millions of people would be dead. A rise in sea level of several feet would mean utter chaos. Millions of square miles of land, whole islands, gone.

But oh, no. You have to repeat the BS you've been fed about how people are fudging the numbers and junk science and all that, claiming the government will run every facet of your life, our children will be enslaved with debt, blah blah blah, if we take any steps to cut CO2 emissions.

How friggin' tough is it for you pinheads to understand that the messages you've absorbed about controlling carbon emissions being bad has come from companies that SELL CARBON?

    Yeesh.

what's with the multiple posts about the same thing in a completely unrelated thread?

you're either stupid or nuts.. either way, stfu already.

Limbaugh is nothing but a fat pig and the day I hear of his demise I shall lift a glass to it!
  • lousgirl84
    Me too.

When it comes down to it, those who have far more wealth use FAR more resources, thus proving themselves a major drain on the environment. FAR more than those who make (and consume) less. So those who make $400 MILLION in 4 years tend to use FAR more resources than a reporter who might be bringing in $40,000 a year.

That aside, anyone who thinks that man is somehow not capable of destroying his environment has never bothered to look at places like Easter Island. They completely deforested that island, all in the pursuit of making those statues. They destroyed their entire society over making stone heads. We are destroying ours, and the entire planet, over making money. Any real difference there? Not that I see. Man has done it before, and there is no reason at all to think that we are capable of higher thought than those who destroyed Easter Island. In fact, I think that we are being run by people who just aren't above their own greed. They don't care if we all die, as long as THEY get all the money.

I wish someone would light that freaking cigar and shove it up Limbaugh's ass.
  • terrymo1
He would like that too much! But then he likes anything long and hard up his ass!
  • lousgirl84
You are probably right. What a sorry excuse for a human he is.
  • lousgirl84
Yeah, and I would love to watch someone do it - but perhaps ion place of a cigar a stick of dynamite might even be better.

I am so goddamned sick of this big steaming pile of toxic fecal matter and the moronic, greed-infested idiots that lap his bile up like shit-eating dogs. Has this country really sunk to such a low level that scum like him (and others of his sickening ilk) are nearly deified by the dimwits that make up his listeners? Sadly, the answer is a clear 'yes'.
