It is time to do some real reporting on the real history of George H.W. Bush including his extensive background in the CIA in the 1950s and 1960s and, more importantly, his bizarre actions on November 22, 1963 in (and around) Dallas, Texas. ProudPrimate, thanks for the correction! Brad Friedman was the original interviewer of Ray McGovern on that topic. I listen to internet shows in my sleep and frequently switch back and forth between Malloy, Jones re-airs, and others. I'm pretty certain Jones' infowars posted an article on the scoop and Jones did interview McGovern a couple weeks later and probably brought it up.

Jones is far less likely to tolerate anything good being said about Obama, as here McGovern saying he has a right to be afraid of being shot. That is to some extent an exoneration for his not instantly repairing everything Bush did wrong and ruined. This of course is the chief complaint of the Libertarians. "Why is the world still the same mess Bush left it in?", all the while refusing to acknowledge the massive power structure who manipulated Bush the halfwit into that, what amounts to a military coup, not that it hadn't already progressed a long way down that road starting with 1947, but leaped and pole-vaulted starting in early 2001, the hot-doggers in the submarine, mostly Texans, all Republicans, recklessly surfacing and wrecking the Japanese merchant training ship in Honolulu harbor, the Ahime Maru, with a number of lives lost. Then there was the taunting of the Chinese and the subsequent loss of the fighter jet on Hainan island, complete with it's secret systems. Some little unconnected guy, with access to the internet and library books will finally figure out what happened with the JFK assassination. Does that sound reasonable to anyone? Still an interesting topic else I wouldn't have read this article (I can't help myself).

Let me point out something though. Cede the point about Oswald being the single shooter... just for argument's sake. Ironically you go far deeper into frightening and conspiratorial territory that way. Why?

Well, as Heil Mary points out... ask who owned the Book Depository? Who was Oswald's contact who got him the job there? Who changed the route? Who is that guy connected to? Why did Oswald have CIA pay records? What's his connection to ONI? Was that pro-Cuban leaflet stuff simply street theator? Check his relations to Jack Ruby. Read the other stuff Heil Mary brings up. What's Oswald's connection to the Gary Powers U-2 shoot-down? What was his previous intellegence background?

Or... not. I switch off every other week and just think Oswald was a pissed off nut who was simply trying to shoot Governor Connolly (over a military pension dispute) and accidentally hit JFK. (Explains why he didn't take the best JFK shot when the car was near stopped, turning the corner, instead waiting until Connolly was no longer behind the windshield, -- taking a very difficult shot as the car moved away).

But... do you get my point? The multiple shooter ideas keep people away from some big blaring problems about Oswald. All the time you spend demanding that people MUST SEE that an unusual event MUST act like an ideal physics experiment -- like hitting a billiard ball on a spring. That is not effective communication. People do not and will never feel confident to make a physics or medical assessment, no matter how cut and dried and conclusive it may seem to you.

One pawn in the Cold War who needed a way out before it was too late was a young ex-Marine, Lee Harvey Oswald.

In following Kennedy's path through a series of critical conflicts, we have been moving more deeply into the question: Why was John F. Kennedy murdered? Now as we begin to trace Oswald's path, which will converge with Kennedy's, we can see the emergence of a strangely complementary question: Why was Lee Harvey Oswald so tolerated and supported by the government he betrayed?

On October 31, 1959, Lee Harvey Oswald, who had been discharged two months earlier from the U.S. Marine Corps in California, presented himself at the American Embassy in Moscow to Consul Richard E. Snyder. Oswald said his purpose in coming was to renounce his U.S. citizenship. He handed Snyder a note he had written, in which he requested that his citizenship be revoked and affirmed that "my allegiance is to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics." According to the Warren Report, "Oswald stated to Snyder that he had voluntarily told Soviet officials that he would make known to them all information concerning the Marine Corps and his specialty therein, radar operation, as he possessed." To the Soviet officials who received his offer, Oswald said he "intimated that he might know something of special interest. "The Soviets had reason to think Oswald knew "something of special inter¬est."• From September 1957 to November 1958 Oswald had been a Marine Corps radar operator at Atsugi Air Force Base in Japan. Atsugi, located about thirty-five miles southwest of Tokyo, served as the CIA's main opera¬tional base in the Far East. It was one of two bases from which the CIA's top-secret U-2 spy planes took off on their flights over the Soviet Union and China. The U-2 was the creation of the CIA's Richard Bissell, also the main author of the Bay of Pigs scenario. Bissell worked closely on the U-2's Soviet overflights with CIA director Allen Dulles. Radar operator Oswald was a small cog in the machine, but he was learning how it worked. From his radar control room at Atsugi, where he had a "crypto" clearance (higher than "top secret"), Oswald listened regularly to the U-2's radio communications.

After Atsugi, Oswald was reassigned as a radar operator to Marine Air Control Squadron No. 9 in Santa Ana, California, which was attached to the larger Marine Air Station in EI Toro. Oswald continued to have access to secret information that would have been of interest to a Cold War enemy. Former Marine Corps Lieutenant John E. Donovan, who was Oswald's officer in the Santa Ana radar unit, testified to the Warren Commission that Oswald "had the access to the location of all bases in the west coast area, all radio frequencies for all squadrons; all tactical call signs, and the relative strength of all squadrons, number and type of aircraft in a squadron, who was the commanding officer, the authentication code of entering and exiting the ADIZ, which stands for Air Defense Identification Zone. He knew the range of our radar. He knew the range of our radio. And he knew the range of the surrounding units' radio and radar. "

However, Donovan's knowledge of Oswald's connection to the top-secret U-2 was clearly off limits for his Warren Commission questioners. Their avoidance of the U-2 puzzled Donovan. Wasn't Oswald's possible access to top-secret U-2 information a critical issue to probe in relation to his defection? Donovan told author John Newman years later that, at the end of his testimony, he asked a Warren Commission lawyer, "Don't you want to know anything about the U-2?" The lawyer said, "We asked you exactly what we wanted to know from you and we asked you everything we wanted for now and that is all. And if there is anything else we want to ask you, we will." Donovan asked a fellow witness who also knew Oswald's U-2 connection, "Did they ask you about the U-2?" He said, "No, not a thing."

On May 1, 1960, six months after Oswald defected to the Soviet Union, a U-2 was shot down by the Soviets for the first time. The downing of the U2, piloted by Francis Gary Powers, wrecked the Paris summit meeting between President Eisenhower and Premier Khrushchev. Gary Powers later raised the question whether his plane may not have been shot down as a result of information Oswald handed over to the Soviets. Powers's question was at least reasonable. It reinforces the case that Oswald's volunteering all the information he had as a Marine radar specialist to the Soviets was an apparently criminal act.

Yet when Oswald returned to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow after working for over a year at a Soviet factory in Minsk, he was welcomed back by American officials with open arms. Not only did the United States make no move to prosecute hirn, but the embassy gave hirn a loan to return to the country he had betrayed. The toleration of Oswald's apparent treason extended to his later obtaining a new passport overnight. On June 25, 1963, Oswald was miraculously issued a passport in New Orleans twenty-four hours after his application. He identified his destination as the Soviet Union. ISS

After analyzing this strange history in her classic work on the Warren Commission, Accessories after the Fact, Sylvia Meagher concluded: "Decision after decision, the [State] Department removed every obstacle before Oswald-a defector and would-be expatriate, self-declared enemy of his native country, self-proclaimed discloser of classified military information, and later self-appointed propagandist for Fidel Castro-on his path from Minsk to Dallas."

President Kennedy was murdered by people with links to the CIA and others. This is expected to surface in the near future as it is tied in with a host of other issues that have been blocked for years and decades. Also, when the family I was in for more than 26 years finally surfaces and they start talking, everyone will hear many "official stories" that were actually setup lies. The family I was in aren't the only ones who know as most of this is widely understood by those involved. this includes detailed information on 911. They often bragged about the past successes as it seem to help build their moral and unify their groups so they feel empowered to want to work together as a team.

Plus when this really gets going, everyone will learn that President Kennedy wasn't the only President who was assassinated by this group.

The point you make is quite valid, about the turf war. Allen and Foster Dulles were certainly the core of the power elite. But it is inaccurate to write off JFK as no more than a continuation of his father's rum-running Irish mafia days. I'm not certain that you actually mean to say that, but it would surprise me if many readers did get that impression.

Reading JFK and the Unspeakable makes an abundantly solid case for Jack having enraged the war hawk community and their Military Industrial Complex money interests by his, to them, treasonous efforts at peace with Russia and Cuba, his back channel communications, especially his American University speech (q.g.), unannounced, that pledged to halt unilaterally the use of atmospheric testing of H-bombs. History shows that the Joint Chiefs and especially Curtis LeMay were seething with rage against him.

The fact that he fired Allen Dulles for the Bay of Pigs fiasco can hardly be laid at the feet of a turf war mentality. He swore to "tear the CIA in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds."

It is pretty obvious at this point something is being covered up. How can the details of that cover up possibly be a threat to our national security at this point in time? I knew people who were advisors to that committee who had careers in politics.
I also knew researchers did excellant work contributing to the hearings.
And one thing that I was told at the time was that there were obstacles put in their way...people from CIA friendly law firms constantly redirecting inquiries. Midway through the hearings it became pretty obvious that nothing substantial would be revealed or accepted by the Committee.

This done just so conservative idiots could sleep at night believing that the US is a "democracy" or "the greatest country in the world"... and not have to deal with the responsibility of knowning or admitting that there had been a Coup D' etat and that our elected leader had been assassinated by a confederation of organised crime and independant military/intelligence contractors both foreign and domestic.

Obviously all the players from those days are either dead or retired. But most likely some of those CIA front law firms still operate today. Occasionally (like during Watergate or Contragate scandals) some of them get exposed but unless they're implicated in a major way then probably it's business as usual.
This does make me wonder. The CIA has always had their ways of getting supplemental non congressionally allocated funding;.. so the question sits in all these investment firm and bank bailouts are there CIA firms receiving inside info and having their own investment groups capitalizing to make profit from it? I'm inclined to think they would... would be interesting to find out

I was being ironic in my original comment. As Savanster pointed out, the government prosecutes some conspiracies that are against the law. They still list Kissinger at Kissinger Associates.
