Saudi Arabia to behead, display body of rapistRIYADH — A Saudi court has ratified the beheading of a young man who raped five children, among them a three-year-old boy left to die in the desert, a newspaper reported on Monday.

An appeal court in Riyadh approved the death sentence handed down in June by a lower court in Hail, where the convicted 22-year-old man carried out his crimes, Okaz newspaper said.

The man's body will be put on public display after the beheading.

The man was arrested several weeks ago, the paper said, as he tried to seize another youth after offering him a ride home from school.

Saudi Arabia has executed 56 people this year under laws that allow the death penalty for rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking. In extreme cases, the convict is executed and his body displayed in public.

    We know that at least this child-molester (a group of criminals who have a recidivism rate of 30-40% over 20 years [http://www.leadershipcouncil.org/1/res/rcd.html] - and THAT number may be low, due to under-reporting...some victims are never found alive) will not repeat its despicable offense.

    I think rapists and child molesters in Saudi Arabia should be "rehabilitated" in jail for a few years and then let out under the condition that they promise not to do it again and they notify the neighborhood where they live of their history of molestation and/or rape. Unless they work for Halliburton in which case they can settle secretly out of court if they get caught. Hey, that's what we do here in the good old USA. What, are we insane?

    the saudis have got it right-wish we had those laws in uk for murderers,rapists,paedophiles ect-we would be saving people,as most of this scum reoffend -come on lets face it the worst that can happen to them is aprison term-ha ha -thats a joke-3meals a day,sky tv,central heating any couse you want to take-think about it,they got it better than most people on the outside -i bet their not bothered at all if they get caught over here-oh i forgot to mention when their released they are provided with aplace to live as well as benefits-WHAT A JOKE THE UK HAS BECOME!
