keith olbermann 296x222 Upping ante, Olbermann tells Beck to go to hellKeith Olbermann's "Worst Person in the World," Fox News' Glenn Beck, thinks his weeping in opposition to Democrats' healthcare is somehow comparable to foretelling the 9/11 attacks.

On his program Wednesday, Olbermann quoted Beck as saying that his jeremiads against healthcare reform are somehow comparable to those who once warned Bin Laden was determined to attack the United States.

“Ten years ago, I could have shouted every single day about Osama bin Laden and his wacky, crazy threats to kill Americans in New York and no one would have been willing to stand in line two hours while some security officer made grandma take her shoes off," Olbermann quotes Beck as saying. "Today, things are different. America is changed. Washington, We’re not letting you get away with it anymore. The 912ers are willing to stand in line and take off our shoes before plane actually hits the tower.”

Olbermann retorts: "Beck, shark jump. You and the 9-12ers have the nerve to exploit 9/11 for your lousy tv ratings?

"You cannot make light of 9/11 nor bandy about as if your petty political grievances are comparable to it and still be a patriotic American," Olbermann continues. "In short, Glenn, 9-12ers, if you are invoking it just to oppose healthcare reform, go to hell."

Keith is being too kind. I guess we'll have to rely on John Stewart to amplify that (bleeped of course). "Go F8%K yourself you chickensh*t crybaby."
  • lexlex
Yes Keith! F*ck the freakin, lying, hate, fear mongering wingnut extremists. Beck is a homegrown Terrorist, trying to destroy America's Freedoms and Democracy and should be treated as a criminal .
  • tomhoser
But it begs the question "Did Beck rape and kill a young girl in 1990?" he's not talking so we need to.
  • zogtheobvious
    More info?

Glenn is the Pied Piper for a small but very noisy contingent of small-minded loonies. I can't say for sure when it'll happen, but he will be piping them all off a cliff soon. His recent 9/11-HCR rant is another giant step toward the precipice.
  • georgehilborn
Now let's see ;Keith was a graduate of Cornell at age 20 and has won many awards for his sports journalism and journalism in general. Doesn't have any scandals involving women and supports several health-related programs.

Beck took one course at Yale on a special request and dropped out;otherwise he has a non-descript high school history. Married twice, raised a Roman Catholic later became a Mormon, an alledged recovering alcoholic and drug addict. He does have the credentials to be the dysfunctional jackass we see.

Keith should treat him as the non-person he is and not revert to "go to hell"; just make fun of him .He's so easy
  • lorn
Or Keith could go back to speaking honestly and courageously about the need to end the immoral illegal occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq...........like he did when the filthy Republicans were in power.

But since he is nothing but a shill for the Democratic party, he is now in the difficult position of not being able to talk about that awkward topic. It must suck to be Keith Olberman.

The fake wrestling matches between him and Beck are just filler and fluff served up to people who really need to be reminded that Obama is Bush3, not hope and change.

But bread and circuses worked on those silly Romans, and they seem to do the trick today.
  • Elim
You are ill informed, georgehillborn. Keith does have a scandal involving a woman. He tried to bed a fan, but couldn't get it up and dumped her. She trashed him in an invitation-only revenge blog. The story was of course, picked up by the NY Post.

They used to until years ago when they changed...

    Keep track of their ratios.

Olbermann really should pay attention to news more than paying attention to everyone on Fox. He might actually be worth watching at that point. Until then...*click*

If the beckerheads think it is better on the other "side", then "off" yourself and get there and leave us the fuck alone.

Just came in to see what the liberals are saying. Wow HATE..HATE..HATE. I can feel the yelling and screaming, blanked out obsenities, and fear in your words. At least Glenn Beck talks calmly and brings out facts. If you dissagree, instead of name calling, bring out some facts that dispute his. Liberals; your all the same. Either people agree with you 100 percent or the ridicule and HATE words begin. Sounds like junior high school.
  • DarkSummoner
Fine. Here is a hate free, obscenity free, fearless rhetort. Glenn Beck is using fear and this nation's tragedies to up his ratings. He misrepresents and often LIES to further his agenda. Now I will back this up with the facts you were asking for:

On his show last week, he spoke with the man who was investigating voting irregularities in the state of Washington. As I was listening to Beck, I brought up the studies results on the internet, which stated that 128 seventeen year old voters had been allowed to miustakenly vote in the last eight years. As I looked to the banner on Beck's TV program, it stated that "16,000" seventeen year olds had voted illegally. Don't take my word for it; search the internet yourself and watch the replay of his show. Once you've done that.....(this is where I stop being nice)..... GOT F@CK YOURSELF. BECK IS A LYING EGOTISTICAL SEXIST HYPOCRITICAL BIGOT WHO COULDN'T SPELL CAT WITH A TWO LETTER HEAD START.
    His ignorance is dangerous.
Thus endeth the lesson, and my patience.

I heard about Olbermann's fragile ego and how, when having a temper tantrum, he curls up under his desk in a fetal position whilst sucking his thumb and refusing to come out, but can anyone tell me why he's known as "The Bathtub Boy"?
  • zogtheobvious
Please, enlighten me: what facts have been brought out by Glenn Beck?

To be sure, there is a lot of hate and name calling here, JUST AS THERE IS IN MOST RIGHT WING BLOGS. To say that only one side does it is hypocrisy. It doesn't excuse it, but I see no reason for anyone to come into a forum full of people they disagree with and criticize the way they talk.

I'm not normally one to point fingers, but the idea of using the media and internet to implement a scorched-earth policy against one's political opponents DID originate in a Right-Wing think tank. Frankly, the discourse on both sides is completely in the shitter.

Which is just how the enemies of America (terrorists, corporatists) like it.

    Edited for grammar

Did you say 'name calling' is a right wing attribute?

I doubt you will see such vehemence on a Republican website, sir.
  • LOL.

Check out any FoxNews page or if you really want to see some wharbrgbll and have a strong stomach, check out the FreeRepublic website.
  • yoshimum
I just looked at the Free Republic website and saw nothing at all to compare with the Democrat site, a difference of opinion yes but no foul language or spewed hatred against anyone, actually it is very respectful and seems more adult oriented than DU which appears to be frequented more by juvenile delinquents than grownups. They (DU) also seem to be a very, very angry and unhappy lot.
