Informant says FBI threw away chance to catch alleged 9/11 plotter

A Lebanon-native who pretended to be an Islamic extremist at the behest of American authorities claims that the FBI took him off the trail of alleged 9/11 plotter Mohammed Atta right as a window of opportunity opened to catch him.
Were it not for the FBI’s action, the informant says he is “one million percent positive” the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks could have been prevented.
The claims are part of an ABC News report, set to air on Thursday’s editions of World News Tonight and Nightline.
An advance story published on ABC’s Web site notes:
[36-year-old Elie] Assaad, who posed as ‘Mohammed’ – a personal representative of Osama bin Laden, says he’s a “million percent positive” the 9/11 attacks could have been stopped if the FBI had gone after Atta and Shukrujumah. But because Atta and his men were suspicious of the FBI undercover operative, and secretive, Assaad says his FBI agent handlers sent him after the easier target – two wannabe terrorists whose cases were easy to crack and who were both eventually convicted and sent to prison.
“I was right, I was a hundred percent right,” Assaad says of his suspicions. He says that when he learned that Atta was one of the 9/11 hijackers, when the FBI asked if he could identify any of the attackers, he was “very upset, angry” and cried.
The network also notes criticism of Assaad by defense attorneys for men who they say he entrapped.
But the informant dismisses the knocks to his credibility. “When you are working undercover, your job is to lie,” he told ABC.

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Pentagon report rejects the idea that
intelligence gathered by a secret military unit could have
been used to stop the Sept. 11 hijackings.
The Pentagon inspector general’s office said Thursday that a
review of records from the unit, known as Able Danger, found
no evidence it had identified ringleader Mohamed Atta or any
other terrorist who participated in the 2001 attacks.
The report was ordered following the assertion last year that
the unit had identified four of the 19 hijackers in 2000. That
claim was made by a former intelligence officer who worked on
Able Danger, Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, and by Rep. Curt
Weldon, vice chairman of the House Armed Services and Homeland
Security committees.
Weldon, R-Pa., has said the unit used data-mining to link Atta
and three other hijackers to al-Qaida more than a year before
the attacks. The 71-page report, blacked out in parts,
rejected Weldon’s claim that the unit wanted information given
to the FBI but that Pentagon lawyers would not allow it.
Weldon questioned the “motives and the content” of the report
and rejected its conclusions. “Acting in a sickening
bureaucratic manner, the DOD IG cherry-picked testimony from
witnesses in an effort to minimize the historical importance
of the Able Danger effort,” Weldon said in a statement.
“The report trashes the reputations of military officers who
had the courage to step forward and put their necks on the
line to describe important work they were doing to track
al-Qaida prior to 9/11,” Weldon said. He said the
investigation did little to answer the questions it was
supposed to examine.
The report acknowledged that one Able Danger member alleged he
was prohibited from providing a chart to the FBI in 2000 by a
senior Special Operations commander. But, the report said,
“the senior official did not recall the incident and we are
persuaded that the chart would have been of minimal value to
the FBI.”
The Pentagon had said some employees recall seeing an
intelligence chart identifying Atta as a terrorist before the
attacks. The report said those accounts “varied significantly”
and witnesses were inconsistent at times in their statements.
Several lawmakers had asked the Pentagon to investigate
whether Defense Department officials mismanaged Able Danger
and retaliated against Shaffer. He was a leading proponent of
the program who later had his security clearance revoked.
The report said Shaffer was not retaliated against because of
his involvement. But the inspector general did find
“procedural oversights” in the handling of his office contents
and his performance evaluations.
A message left with Shaffer’s lawyer was not returned
immediately on Thursday.
Last year, the bipartisan commission that investigated the
attacks dispensed with the issue by calling it “not
historically significant.”
Thomas Kean, the commission’s co-chairman, said he hoped the
report would put an end to discussion about Able Danger.
“After this I don’t know where it can go,” Kean said.

If you’re offering this Associated Press item as evidence that Mohamed Atta was anything more than a pre-selected 9-11 patsy, I have to tell you I don’t find it very compelling.
Al Qaeda is/was a CIA construct fabricated, using real people (patsies), for the purpose of providing a bad guy to chase for the crimes of 9-11. This is meant to serve as a distraction away from the real perps, our shadow Zionist Occupation Government (ZOG), and Israel.
The man in the video is a likely Mossad agent tasked with perpetuating the al Qaeda/9-11 link myth — and it’s a fairytale.

WE NEED A NEW INVESIGATION BECAUSE THE OFFICIAL STORY IS CLEARLY FALSE
As you’d recall the PROJECT FOR A NEW AMERICAN CENTURY called for a new pearl harbor type of attack in order to implement the policies they needed.
I’m not surprised by this. It fits the FBI’s institutional history and memory of going after easier targets to claim greater effectiveness than really exists in investigative ability. Take the general example of organized crime under Hoover: for decades, the director denied that it even existed when municipal and state cops knew it was utter crap.
He knew it was a much harder target that wouldn’t yield the easier results of say icing a John Dillinger, or even the Rosenbergs, it wouldn’t get the same kinds of headlines because it’s a more complicated beast to take on and a stronger one than isolated gangs of bank robbers, stick-up artists, or any other variety of yeggs.
The FBI has always overstated its effectiveness in the interdiction of crime and always will because it’s hopelessly politicized and not what it says it is. More often, they’re spying on American dissidents, unions, and the like. That’s why I never joined, and I was told in college by more than one professor (one in the criminology dept.) that I should. Why bother?
You can add this little nugget to the mounting and totally un-ignorable evidence of prior knowledge and complicity.

This story is not surprising.”The Terror Timeline”by Paul Thompson is filled with cases of “missed opportunities”.If the story about the FBI’s handling of Niaz Kahn doesn’t spell it out for people ,then I doubt this one will.
As well,I still find it amazing that Atta stalled a small air craft on a runway at Miami International,got out and abandoned it right there with the lights off,and NOTHING came of it.What about the speeding ticket that failed to lead to his arrest,though there was a warrant out for him.Or,how ’bout that “Able Danger” program that identified him in 1999?He sure was lucky I guess.

In light of what is found with a little digging around, it seems logical to believe that atta was some sort of patsy,drug dealer or participant in the hijack simulations the day of 9/11.

And how hard is it, after Osama provided us with one video claiming they had nothing to do with 9/11, to film some grainy footage of an old bearded guy in a burka and a headrag….speaking PERFECT ENGLISH… I’ve seen comparitive photos. One ‘looks *kinda* like the other. Like those people who look *kinda like* celebrities. They look kinda like them, but you could easily tell the two apart.

I’ve always found it very odd that bin laden initially denied having anything to do with 9/11 and even went so far as to suggest that Americans should look within for the perps–one would think he would have bragged about how he struck such a devastating blow to his enemies.
And then a month or so after 9/11, bush admin officials claim to have supposedly found a tape in some obscure place in Afghanistan wherein bin laden takes full responsibility for the 9/11 attacks (there are many well-established liars within our govt and to me this story just doesn’t ring true).

The reason?
He has not been charged. They have no proof.
You need to question authority. Why be afraid to question everything? If you are honest and look with an open mind and yuor answer is correct, it will stand up to scrutiny. If not, well, then you need to check your believe structure and see if you have a screen up to believing what you see with your own eyes.
The truth will out, every time. If you deny the truth that you see, just to keep your believe system up, what price are you paying for it?
And why?
You need to ask yourself questions.
Of course the FBI didn’t follow up on this, they were too busy going after the Amish, the Quakers, and everyone else who is for ethical, humane treatment of humans. If you are busy going ager REAL troublemakers, and you have been told to IGNORE anything else, you won’t find out much of anything, will you?
The object was not to stop it, but to at least allow it to happen and amplify its effects with demolition and a cruise missile. At most, the Bush criminal cabal worked with bin Laden to plan and orchestrate the entire event.
I should believe this guy WHY? Anyone that has done their research knows that al queda is a creation of the al CIAda, so I think this guy is just another disinformation stooge working to keep the truth from the people.
As Jay Kolar points out in his introduction to the series of essays in the book The Hidden History of 9/11 which is edited by Paul Zarembka, “the FBI engaged in lies and the fabrication of evidence against 9-11 hijacker suspects. By its own account, the FBI initiated its investigations by searching American Airlines and United Airlines’ flight manifests for the names of possible suspects. Next, the FBI found where these suspects lived and traced their movements before 9-11.”
In other words, the fix was in.

It’s also how other foreign countries make American politicians jump through hoops.
STATES WITH DEEP 9/11 TIES
The networks were born out of things like Iran/Contra, the Gulf War, BCCI and JFK coverups. You find the 9/11 hijackers and various 9/11 mysteries in the same rightwing areas of states that are giving Obama trouble…namely Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Ohio, Arizona, Minnesota, South Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas, San Diego California. Some of the same states that had election rigging, and that had Israelis chasing Muslims across their borders. Some of those are the same states involved with the Oklahoma City bombing. States with rightwing networks seemingly being manipulated by extreme right moles embedded in government agencies.
RIGHTWING NETWORKS AND MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD
These rightwing networks involved drugs, arms running and prostitution. The network is fascist and at high levels includes some of the networks of Nazis and Muslim Brotherhood from World War II. World wide the network can be found in USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Netherlands, Austria, Egypt, Canada, UK. The network is rightwing and fascist. The network brought Nazis from Germany over to the USA after WWII and set them up in American institutions.
ISRAEL AS BUFFER FOR RIGHTWING OPERATIONS
Israel also has been a part in this network as far back as Iran/Contra. Israel is used as an insulator to deflect criticism away from this network. Because Israel for its own national security reasons allows itself to be manipulated by this network in exchange for a free pass in allowing it to grab land from the Palestinians.
The Israelis were also often found in the states mentioned above tailing the hijackers. They seem to have been observers in the crime, now being blackmailed into silence about what they observed.
THE GROUPS BEHIND 9/11
But the controlling powers behind 9/11 seem to have been American and European security and intelligence using Muslim Brotherhood allies in the Middle East as muscle on the ground. The Germans, Americans(Bunde, CIA,FBI and Able Danger), French and others monitored the hijackers up to the day of 9/11 and then allowed them to fly planes into targets. Alleged hijacker Mohammad Atta when not leading around a troupe of patsies was seen to be associated with German, Swiss and Austrian pilots at the Florida flight schools.
The parties responsible seem to be moles within the FBI and CIA, and certain security firms on the American side. And certain agents from Europe who after 9/11 were allowed to flee the country back to NATO block nations in Europe. It was the Germans that brought Mohammad Atta to Germany from Egypt(again the WWII Muslim/Nazi connection)
And it seems that the hijackers were involved with drug running operations because they were at flight schools that were running heroin flights(Wally Hilliard, Huffman Aviation).
REMOTE CONTROL PLANES
It also seems possible that the hijackers were patsies that were booked on certain flights that were then possibly flown by remote control into targets. Donald Rumsfeld’s Pentagon chose Dov Zakheim(Jewish) to be comptroller of Pentagon budgets. He was used to insulate the Pentagon from Remote Control plane accusations by being a Jewish man with connections to System Planning Corporation which makes a system for remote control of planes. He served a similar function with buffering the American right from inspection as did the Israeli art students who had foreknowledge of 9/11 by having followed the hijackers around the country. The Israeli Art Students story was used by right wing media immediately after 9/11 to draw attention away from the rightwing and onto the Israelis. (And strangely enough it was the FBI in the early 70s that busted an attempt by the JDL to fly a remote control drone plane packed with dynamite into the Soviet Mission in New York.)
Is it possible that the hijackers were manuevered onto the 9/11 flights by way of their involvement in some type of drug traffic work they did? And then the planes were taken over by remote control? Why was the USA running war games that apparently involved simulations of faked plane hijackings on the day of 9/11. A perfect cover for the real thing. Did these simulations involve remote control target drones?
Why does all of this look so familiar to what was described in the Northwoods documents which was rereleased right before 9/11 which described a false flag operation by the joint chiefs of staff using remote control planes in order to get the American public behind a Cuban war?
OKLAHOMA CITY BOMBING
The Oklahoma City bombing also included a cast of Neo-Nazis, Israelis, Germans and Muslim Brotherhood. And the perps were also penetrated by moles who allowed the bombing to occur even though they could have stopped it. A German agent provocateur came to the USA, got involved with American civil war reenactors and neo-nazis and then went to Elohim City on the border of Arkansas where he stirred up a bunch of neo-nazis to attack the US government. The FBI had an arrangement with the man who ran the Neo-Nazi compound and essentially used it as a giant “honey trap” for Neo-Nazi patsies.

Why did the FBI’s informants provocateur patsies into blowing up things in the USA? The FBI has been shown over and over to frame up patsies for terror incidents that wouldn’t have existed had they not been created by the FBI using agent provocateurs to manipulate patsies into blowing things up:

While I am a 9-11 Truth-er, from the moment I knew about the towers coming down (literally thought “What has Bush done now?!”), I do not believe this guy. Why? He has sclera under his irises. He is seriously hiding something from us, something he will not be sharing with us. Body language doesn’t lie, … not easily anyway.
This could possibly be a counter-intell antics, just to get Truthers to follow the wrong path, as they are making things seem super-ridiculous. There are people out there who don’t want us to know the truth and so they obfuscate by putting out senseless theories. I think this guy is one of those senseless theories. I don’t believe him. I don’t trust him.
