Governors, Pentagon joust for command of domestic military forces

The National Governors Association sent a letter Friday to the U.S. Department of Defense condemning an effort to usurp domestic control of National Guard and federal forces deployed in the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack.
“Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas (R), chairman of the National Governors Association, and Vice Chairman Gov. Joe Manchin (D) of West Virginia penned [the] letter opposing the Pentagon proposal, which they said would hinder a state’s effort to respond to a disaster,” reported The Hill.
Douglas and Manchin wrote on behalf of the association: “We are concerned that the legislative proposal you discuss in your letter would invite confusion on critical command and control issues, complicate interagency planning, establish stove-piped response efforts, and interfere with governors’ constitutional responsibilities to ensure the safety and security of their citizens.”
“Without assigning a governor tactical control of [military] forces assisting in a response, and without the use of a dual-hatted National Guard commander to ensure coordination between [National Guard] and [federal] forces, strong potential exists for confusion in mission, execution and the dilution of governors’ control over situations with which they are more familiar and better capable of handing than a federal military commander,” the governors added, reported Congressional Quarterly.
The Hill noted that while the Pentagon’s proposal would provide additional Department of Defense personnel in the event of such an emergency, the governors say that current law already allows their deployment making the additional domestic powers unnecessary.
“A similar fix was removed from the Defense Department appropriation measure in conference committee for fiscal 2009,” the Washington, D.C. publication added.
The Pentagon had not respond to a request for comment at time of publication, CQ noted.

In preparation for FEMA death camps?
Let’s hope so, 18 years is a long time to wait for a death camp and I’ll be the first to sign up to work there if extermination of the morons that believe in FEMA death camps entails the position.
REX FEMA camps are already built, they are just waiting to implement. Also why is the fight so hard over control of the military in the states, I thought we where winning war on terror and that DHS has stopped all of those nasty terrorists from getting into the states.

The military is desperate for a full take over of government. At the moment, they only have managed a coup from the shadows through blackmail and intimidation.
When they get a modicum of power to rule in the open blood will flow in the streets and it will be the blood of patriots and innocents.
And why would the Pentagon want that right? For what? I dont see anyone breaking laws en mass ……do you? What they want is illegal. Period.
i’ve been posting about this for sometime. I was in a family for more than 26 years who are directly involved in a supporting function for another White House Coup. Please read about “The Business Plot” that happened in 1933 only then, they didn’t have the military involved in the Coup. This time they do and they have been planning this Coup for decades. I learned a lot of detail in the 90’s and this includes many of the scandals currently existingin the news.
What they are doing it this:
They (CIA and others) are actively involved in world wide distribution of drugs. Note we are in Afghanistan because of the heroine as it’s where more than 90% of the the heroine is grow in the world. We’re building military bases in Colombia because this is where more than 95% of the Cocaine is grown.
The family I was in have been actively involved in laundering money into property since the later 70s for CIA run operations and much more. In the 90’s they started up their own air distribution drug business in Florida.

Note their CIA link and realize they have bragged about being CIA Assets for years. Also, note all the drugs. Clyde O’Connor is my ex-sister-in-law’s brother. Her husband is my ex-wife’s brother and business partner to Clyde. Please note that Illinois has three huge Drug Lords, one being the family.
They also have a directly link with those involved in 911. I learned a great deal of the details in the 90’s only then there were three sites being reviewed. And YES the Military is involved and have been involved since I was told in the 90’s.

There is a little law, passed in 1878 which precludes the military from showing up to enforce the law. According to Wikpedia (which i don’t usually cite):
“The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Coast Guard is exempt from the Act during peacetime.”
Now remind me, has there been a recent rescission to this law? If not, I’m sure Obama and Gates and Holder will make sure it’s legal now.

onesolution.. Bush repealed the Posse Comitatus act 3 years ago. It is no longer in effect. The military is free to enforce civilian laws anywhere in the nation. The Kansas militia hung my Dads great uncle in Missouri for his beliefs on slavery. He never owned slaves but thought the war was unnecessary because the steam engine would make slavery obsolete in a couple years back in 1864. He was hung in his front yard in front of his family who cut him down after the army left and he died two weeks later never having left his bed. Unfortunately I expect to see this sort of thing once again especially around Kansas where Tiller has just been murdered for his beliefs.
The abuses never seem to end.
We have to make an example of the Bush criminals or it will happen again and again until we lose our most cherished freedoms.
